Yep pretty much...and during shows. If I get the feeling that some guests have been to lots of PC shows and aren't interested in hosting because they feel their friends have been to too many, I'll suggest this show if they have kids (or grandkids). A number of people have ended up booking this kind of show when I know they wouldn't have otherwise booked a PC show. THese shows are QUITE different from regular shows because you don't really do a demo and you have limited attention spans with the kids (and some adults!nicolles27 said:How does everyone advertise for Cooking w/Kids shows??? it would be a blast. Do you just mention to your hosts' that have children?
A Cooking With Kids Show is a fun and interactive event where children and their parents can learn to cook together. It focuses on simple, kid-friendly recipes that encourage teamwork and creativity in the kitchen.
Recipes that are simple, quick, and require minimal adult supervision are ideal. Examples include no-bake desserts, easy snacks like fruit kabobs, and simple meals like mini pizzas or tacos that kids can assemble themselves.
Involve kids by assigning them age-appropriate tasks such as washing vegetables, measuring ingredients, stirring, or decorating dishes. This hands-on approach makes cooking fun and educational for them.
Kid-friendly kitchen tools such as plastic knives, measuring cups, and mixing bowls are safe for children. Additionally, using tools like peelers and graters designed for kids can help them participate without risk of injury.
Absolutely! You can customize recipes to accommodate dietary restrictions by substituting ingredients. For example, use gluten-free flour for baking or dairy alternatives for those with lactose intolerance. Always check with parents about any allergies before starting the cooking process.
