I can't go all the way to Wayland, first. I have this effeciency thing about me that I just can't shake. That's why I'm always late. I hate being early! Go figure. Not late to shows, though. I actually just tell hosts I'll be ther 45 to 35 minutes before show start time. Then it's easier to be on time.

will be there too! Only missed one in 10 conferences...I even was able to go the year I had to have a total hip replacement..(4 years ago) Nothing was going to stop me!! I just didn't go to the big director event they had that extra nite after conference. I got on a plane Sunday and came home..got to go see my 12 year old son play in a state baseball game and then went to the hospital that nite for surgery next morning. Was fortunate enough to keep my business going during that time and didn't take medical leave..guess the nurses and everyone felt sorry for me because they kept book shows rolling. It was end of JUly so the new stuff came out for fall, and my hubby brought all the new catalogs up to the hospital to see!!!

No - my cluster drives down and then takes the train into Chicago - it's a 3 hr. trip, so we leave early the morning Conf. starts, and then we leave for home as soon as conf. ends. It's not a sight-seeing, pleasure trip for us - although we have a blast....it's mostly just about PC, and my DH would not enjoy hanging out by himself while I am in meetings!

Aww...I would have loved to meet you "officially". The banquet night was a blur. It was a small group and I "think" I remember you specifically but not 100% for sure. I on the other hand was kind of hard to miss that night. :rolleyes: Plus I ended up getting seated in front.

A lot of it depends on if I can earn the half price registration. I may be about half way there, if I wait to submit the shows I have pending.

But I have nothing else on my calendar, and I am sick.

How is everyone getting there? Flying? Driving? I would prefer to drive ... I have friends in Indiana who live right off I-80 so it would be a short detour to stop by and see them ... but no one else in my cluster is, except the one who is bringing her whole family.

Janet, it was a nice banquet. I felt like I was part of the group. I had been to another executive banquet twice and both times felt like I was window shopping a party...unfortunately, a lot of her real consultants felt the same way.

Yes, the fire gear made you hard to miss, but that was the point wasn't it? All I can say is ...YOU GO GIRL!!

I saw a report on the News this morning about Delta - cutting planes, flights, and personnel, and raising prices. The report said that with the cut in flights, if you wait to book, you are greatly increasing your chances of not getting a flight - and if a flight isn't booked enough to be profitable, it will just be canceled.

My sales have been good, but not quite that good. I'm at $36,000 in sales for the TPC period. Actually, if I hadn't had such a dismal Aug. & Sept., I might be within reach - but my sales for those months were $780, and $1150. I am working hard to make sure that is different this year!

The good news it that by the middle of April, I will have earned Level One of the trip incentive! I am sooo earning a trip this year! With travel costs going up the way they are, it will be the only way to take DH on a 2nd honeymoon!

Becky - ask your director...your wave is dependent on who your upline is. We are grouped by Executive Directors and Senior Executive Directors.

You should DEFINITELY go! You'll enjoy it, get to see the new products, meet tons of people, it is great!

Don't worry about having a recruit, at 1/2 price, it is more than worth it, you get free stuff and you can right off the rest as a business expense for training come tax time.

As soon as all of the official info is posted as far as hotels, and we know where the majority are staying - we really need to plan a Meet N Greet. I never get there until the day conference starts, so I don't have that extra night everyone else seems to have. Last year, I was sick the first night, and needed to go to bed - so I never got to meet everyone. This year - I'm coming no matter what!

Of course, several of us already know we are in the same Executive Banquet - so we'll get to hang out then too! YEA!!!

So far, the half price registration is not looking likely, even though I'm half way there. I do have ONE potential booking ... but she has not committed to a date in April, let alone given me a guest list, and I've called her recently and feel it's best not to push her.

But we DO get that extra tax refund so ....

IF I go I will drive Miracle Car, head out on Thursday, stop in Indiana to visit some friends and drive in to Chicago the next morning. They're about 3 hours away from Chicago and it's actually their closest airport!

I have some potential family stuff going on that could also throw a monkey wrench in the works ... to make a REALLY long story short ... I may become a guardian of my 12-year-old nephew ... and if that happens, I don't even know how I'd handle child care while I'm at WORK ... my parents can only do so much!

You can wait and register for a hotel.

Some people book a room with 2 people, then add 2 later, things like that...

I will be going this year! I am well on my way to earning conference for 1/2 price. There are three people from my unit signed up to go so far. We are taking the MegaBus from Cincy to Chicago. I believe it's only $28 round trip. Not sure on hotel arrangements yet. I'm so excited. I've been with PC for a year now and can't wait to see what's in store for us at conference!

I found out I have a roof to repair AND reshingle this year, but I'm still working on saving.

Gas going up ANOTHER 10 cents per gallon in the last 24 hours doesn't help. I know some are worse, but we are at $3.64 and it is at least 18 miles one way to town and work so miles add up fast.

It's my first time--I'll be there at the Sheraton. Arriving Wed around 9:20 pm at ORD--got van shuttle reservation to the hotel. Might need a little hand-holding. iteachurkid-Jennifer-is my roomie.
