Hi,
New, and am trying to figure out how to do the crescent rolls in the ring with the wide edge to the inside and points to the outside. I think it will end up looking ok when it is done baking but when I was ascembling it, I am sure it didn't look like it was easy
Any one have any tips or pictures?
Thanks
Mindy

Do you have "All the Best" Cookbook? It shows you how in there.

You can have them touch and you should roll it out with your rolling pin. It's oK before you fill the ring to have the point hanging over the edge of the stone.

When you start laying out the crescent rolls, think of a clock.

First put a triangle at 12, 3, 6, and 9.
Then lay down four more, spaced evenly between those.
Then lay down the rest, spaced evenly between those.
That way, you will get them basically evenly spaced.

Roll the wide parts together with the short end of the Baker's Roller. Then scoop your filling in and cover with the cresents by pulling over the point and tucking it under. It will not cover the filling completely.

Good luck!

When I was assembling mine the other night, I flipped the rack upside down and that way when the points were hanging over, they werent' laying on my counter. I got that tip somewhere on here, not sure where. My other fave new tip is to put the cookbook in a gallon ziploc bag to protect them. I shared that at my show today and they were very impressed! :)

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best way to prepare the crescent rolls for assembling in a ring?

To prepare the crescent rolls, first, preheat your oven according to the package instructions. Then, carefully unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into individual triangles. Make sure to keep the dough cold until you are ready to assemble, as this will help maintain its shape.

How do I ensure the crescent rolls stick together when forming the ring?

To help the crescent rolls stick together, gently pinch the edges of the triangles where they meet. You can also use a small amount of flour or cooking spray on your baking sheet to prevent sticking. Additionally, pressing the seams firmly can help create a better seal.

Can I add fillings to the crescent roll ring? If so, what are some good options?

Yes, you can definitely add fillings to your crescent roll ring! Some popular options include cheese, cooked meats, vegetables, or even sweet fillings like fruit preserves or chocolate. Just be careful not to overfill, as this can make it difficult to seal the dough properly.

What is the best way to bake the crescent roll ring for optimal results?

For optimal results, bake the crescent roll ring in a preheated oven at the temperature specified on the dough package. Keep an eye on it during baking, and look for a golden-brown color. If the edges brown too quickly, you can cover them with foil to prevent burning.

How can I serve the crescent roll ring once it’s baked?

Once the crescent roll ring is baked and cooled slightly, transfer it to a serving platter. You can serve it warm or at room temperature. Consider providing dipping sauces such as marinara, ranch, or a sweet glaze, depending on your filling choice, to enhance the flavor experience.
