So looks like there are some big periods of time without a session -- those of you who have attended in the past, what do you do in the downtimes -- I understand their are vendor booths, but are there enough to fill in all the time or is there some free/relaxing time too?

How do we find out when/where our banquet is?

It's my first year, but I was surprised by that, too. And I think I was expecting more specialized classes, rather than classes that sound so much like the DVDs & CDs.

BUT-- I'm really excited and can't wait to learn as much as humanly possible while I'm there!!!

I think there have always been just 4 workshops.....and the reason they sound so much like the training cd's is because most of those are previous workshops that have been recorded!
Remember - there are general sessions that take up some of the time too - I don't usually find too much "Downtime".!:) Usually if there is downtime - I need the break - and it's a great time to get ot network w/ other consultants...or meet up w/ other cheffers!

You are welcome Ivy! I think alot of the schedule questions will be answered closer to Conference Time - there will be a conference schedule posted and everyone who registers will also be mailed one.
This year the schedule is different than past years because of switching the Directors Event to the beginning - so I can't give you correct conf. schedule info at this time.:)

There is never enough time! Don't forget you also have to make time to FIND the people you are with since we all take different classes. It seems that even when we have made a plan of where to meet someone changes it at the last minute and causes more waiting for someone else - that is my biggest frustration with going with a group. Well, that, and Travel Planners - but that's another thread.

Yes, you'll get a boxed something on the bus. Usually it's lunch during lunch time, but I don't know what they'll give for breakfast. You'll get something though.:)

Yahoo, changing my class was easy. I sent an e-mail to registration telling them I needed to change one class and which one and they sent me a message back saying it was done.

I am so excited! Every year I get more excited. I believe this is my 4th going and I get more excited every year.

O.k., so I somehow volunteered myself to put together a spreadsheet for our cluster of who was taking what. Then for some crazy reason, I thought I should also do it for us in Wave 1... and since it was about 1:30a when I started, logic did not prevail and now there is a "master schedule" of everything that has been posted so far on this thread.

If you didn't indicate which session of a class you are registered for (A or B), then I listed you in "A". Let me know what corrections need to be made (I'm sure there are a few - after all it is 2a) and I'll update every few days between now and conference.

Now that it is 2:30a, it is time to go to bed... nightie, night!

Have you seen on the PC site that the tour of the stock rooms was cancled and that we would watch a movie insead.
Bummer I was really excited. Someone told me that they choose some one to run around on a shopping spree. I would have loved that. There are 6 of us going on the same tour from our Little Eastern Shore Group (Near Chincoteague VA Book= "Misty of Chincoteague") If one of us won the shopping spree... they were to grab 6 of everything and we would split the goodies"
Any ideas how it will be this year.

I see you are going on the HO tour Monday o-dark early-
I am too. I'll have to try to meet you.

Have you seen on the PC site that the tour of the stock rooms was cancled and that we would watch a movie insead.
Bummer I was really excited. Someone told me that they choose some one to run around on a shopping spree. I would have loved that. There are 6 of us going on the same tour from our Little Eastern Shore Group (Near Chincoteague VA Book= "Misty of Chincoteague") If one of us won the shopping spree... they were to grab 6 of everything and we would split the goodies"
Any ideas how it will be this year.

You’ll see a behind-the-scenes video of the Distribution Center, since it’s undergoing upgrades this summer and will be unavailable during the tours. As a result, each tour attendee will have a chance to win products in an exciting new way! Register early — tickets are limited!"

On the Home Office Tour, the pick one person from each bus. We would try to ride different buses so we weren't competing against each other.

I knew someone who won it twice, I think, she said in those years she was just sent one of everything in the catalog. The in the last year or two I heard that policy changed and you were just sent what you grabbed.

I am not doing the tour this year but may do it again next year since it has been a couple years since I have done it and I should be hitting $100,000 by then and I think your name gets added to a plaque on the wall.

First let me tell you all I'm sorry for not getting this done sooner. We had a minor issu... not, we had a major catastrophy at our house this week and I was literally minutes from not being able to attend conference. Things are calm enough for me to go, but I am just sitting down to type the emails/cell phones. Thankfully I already have most of the workshop stuff done. This really shouldn't take too long and I will email everything as soon as it is done. (I'm also going to print a few copies to bring Sunday night to the MNG for those that don't get a chance to print before they leave.)
Anyway, this week really sucked... something had to give and since typing this stuff wasn't mandatory, that was it.

I think it's interesting......

at conference durring workshops people either need to sit next to people they know or do not want to be near anyone they know.

It can make for 2 totally different experiences.

A couple years ago, I had a cluster mate who purposely signed up for every workshop I took, so she could sit with me........it was actually rather annoying - because she was one of those people who didn't really want to work her business, just wanted to whine about not getting any bookings etc......and was very negative about every workshop - "Oh, I could never do that" etc........This year I kept my workshop schedule a secret from her :D , but then she ended up not coming anyway......I think she just went inactive in fact.

I'm thinking of switching my P3 & PWS workshop for the other recruiting one........I'm thinking that at this point I need more help in that area!

Last year I switched a couple workshops last minute at conference w/ no problems (see above post about annoying clustermate to understand why!:rolleyes: ;) )

There's a woman in my extended cluster who registers for random workshops, and then picks a room there, depending on what she feels like taking. She'll leave in the middle if there's no good info, and walk into another room like she's coming back from the restroom. :)
