I have a new customer who bought one from another consultant less than a year ago. She said that the nonstick coating is all peeling off. She said that she has not used any abrasive cleaners or anything on it and has never put it in the dishwasher.

Has anyone else heard of this happening? I have one, and never had a problem with it.

I am going to put in a product adjustment for her once she gets me the show information.

TIA

Can't say that I have had that problem Kim. I love mine and use if alot! I wash it by hand and use a soft sponge to clean mine.

Maybe she got a "lemon". I am sure HO will take good care of her. I hope she finds her information and will think the world of you for helping her!

Yes, unfortunately, I have heard of this happening before. It is possible that there was a defect in the coating of the pan, which caused it to peel off easily. It could also be due to high heat or using metal utensils on the nonstick surface. It is good that you are going to put in a product adjustment for her, as it is important for customers to know that they can trust the quality of our products.

Frequently Asked Questions

What causes the nonstick coating to peel off my Mini Muffin Pan?

The nonstick coating on your Mini Muffin Pan may peel off due to several factors, including improper use, exposure to high heat, or using metal utensils that can scratch the surface. It's important to follow the manufacturer's care instructions to maintain the integrity of the coating.

How can I prevent the nonstick coating from peeling off in the future?

To prevent peeling, avoid using metal utensils and opt for silicone, wood, or plastic tools instead. Additionally, do not use the pan at temperatures higher than recommended and always allow it to cool before washing. Hand washing with a soft sponge is also recommended over using a dishwasher.

Is it safe to use a Mini Muffin Pan with a peeling nonstick coating?

While it may not be immediately harmful, using a pan with a peeling nonstick coating is not advisable. The peeling can affect the cooking performance and may lead to ingestion of nonstick material. It's best to replace the pan if the coating is significantly damaged.

What should I do if my Mini Muffin Pan has a warranty and the coating is peeling?

If your Mini Muffin Pan is still under warranty and the coating is peeling, you should contact Pampered Chef customer service. They can guide you through the warranty claim process and may offer a replacement or refund depending on the situation.

Can I still use my Mini Muffin Pan if the nonstick coating is partially peeling?

While you can technically still use the pan, it's not recommended. Partial peeling can lead to uneven cooking and potential health risks. It's advisable to discontinue use and consider replacing the pan to ensure safe and effective cooking.
