Can you use the beer bread in these??

I am pretty sure that you can use almost any kind of bread. I have heard of people making banana bread in the tubes as gifts for the holidays.

the bread tubes are not designed for quick breads, like beer bread/banana bread etc, they can leak out the bottom. Some people have had success covering the bottom with aluminum foil to make it a tighter seal to use those type of breads. Just be prepared with a cookie sheet underneath to catch what leaks out.
Only supposed to use the tubes on the french loaf type breads found in the tube.

I use my bread tubes for quick breads all the time. There are two important things to consider.

1. The batter needs to be thick! If it's runny as pancake batter, it won't work. (I've used the Apple Cinnamon Bread recipe from the Beer Bread Mix with excellent results.)

2. Fold up a square of parchment paper and put that under the bottom cap. It helps to seal the batter in.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are some key ingredients for making beer bread?

Beer bread typically requires just a few key ingredients: all-purpose flour, baking powder, sugar, salt, and, of course, beer. The type of beer you choose can influence the flavor of the bread, so feel free to experiment with different varieties.

Can I use non-alcoholic beer in beer bread recipes?

Yes, you can use non-alcoholic beer in beer bread recipes. It will still provide the necessary carbonation and flavor, making it a great option for those who prefer to avoid alcohol.

How long does beer bread take to bake?

Beer bread typically takes about 45 to 60 minutes to bake at 350°F (175°C). It's important to check for doneness by inserting a toothpick into the center; if it comes out clean, the bread is ready.

Leftover beer bread should be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days. For longer storage, you can freeze it. Just wrap it tightly in plastic wrap and then in aluminum foil to prevent freezer burn.
