Hello-

My name is Carla and I am from the Brandon/Tampa/Riverview , Florida area which I like to call Branampaview. I just signed up on 6/17/08 and look forward to having a successful career with Pampered Chef. I have been a long time customer and fan of PC and now I am part of the family. My first 2 shows backed out on me today, so I am digging up new bodies as I write this post. If you know of anybody in the area that is interested, please give them my email and cell number.

Hi Carla! Welcome to the site (and the family!). So sorry to hear about your cancellations...but you'll be surprised how quickly you'll add new shows to your schedule. My advice is to use your list of 100, and start making calls. Call friends you haven't seen in a while. Tell them what you're up to, and ask if they'd mind helping.
Maybe you could hold an open house? Or if you don't want to have an actual open house, make it a kick-off show...and take catalog orders? All you need is $200 for a catalog show to qualify. If you make it an open house and do a demonstration, that becomes a cooking show and you only need $150 for the show to qualify...my mom hosted my first catalog show, and one of my closest friends hosted my first home cooking show. You'll be rolling in no time at all!
Take care and good luck. There are PLENTY of very knowledgable consultants on here and they all have really great ideas to share. That's the great thing about this business and the cheffers on this board...we're here to help each other. Encouragement and support can go a long way in our line of work. :)
Best wishes!!!

Welcome Carla ~ did you host a Grand Opening yourself? That's a GREAT way to get bookings! Good luck!

Welcome to the PC family and the CS nut house, Carla. Sounds like you're off to a good start, even with the stress of backed-out hosts. Best wishes!

Welcome aboard!!! :)

Welcome fellow Florida girl! Don't be discouraged - just emphasize it is cheaper to eat in than eat out and these products will help make cooking stress free. No one can argue that point!
