...check out these photo galleries from Iowa.

http://iowadot.gov/floods/2008gallery.html Some of these won't be in use any time soon.

http://iowadot.gov/floods/2008.I80.gallery.html. Remember, there are bridges under there someplace.

Dramatic Video - The Collapse of the http://www.truveo.com/Raw-Watch-bridge-collapse-in-flood/id/1702273651 in downtown Cedar Rapids. (That video is followed by video of houses collapsing into Lake Delton in Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin.)

You can learn more about the CRANDIC bridge here, before it collapsed. It was 105 years old.

Suddenly, that little bit of water in my basement just doesn't seem like a big deal.

Thanks for posting those. They bring back memories of the drive home after graduation in '93. With 1 out like that, I bet that attendance at homecoming and reunions is down this fall at Cornell.

You're welcome - I found the slide show of highways and bridges to be stunning. I know many of those places because they are along the Lincoln Highway, and I know many people who live along there. Now it's the people in Missouri and Illinois who are getting it.
