Hi all!

Before you leave for the airport in January for Leadership Conference, I recommend viewing this website - http://www.tsa.gov/travelers/airtravel/prohibited/permitted-prohibited-items.shtm.

It will provide you with all of the new security rules so you will be able to get through security as quickly as possible. You will really need to be conscientious as to what liquids, gels, etc you place in your purse or carryon bags.

Let me tell you how strict they are. I flew w/ my 2 year old to PA from Ca and it was a pain. He was sick, and they almost didn't allow his childrens Tylonal (SP), and then in Sac they made him dump his water out in his cup. Nothing like a screaming 2 year old in the airport. This is awesome info to post, good thinking Lisa!!!

Thanks, Lisa!
I was going to look for this info, but you saved me the trouble. :)

I travel a lot, Canada, US over seas.............

It's best to read up and follow the carry on rules, so many people don't and it holds up the lines so bad. I was in line and almost missed my plane leaving London, UK last September because nobody would listen to the "no bottled water" rule and there was even a lady going through the line telling everyone:eek:
It's really not a big deal though, just make sure that u put any big bottles of liquid and gels in your check bags. Or what I do is just leave it at home and buy items when I get there, kind of fun in a different Country.

Frequently Asked Questions

What items are prohibited in carry-on luggage when traveling to a leadership conference?

Prohibited items typically include sharp objects (knives, scissors), flammable liquids, and any item that could be used as a weapon. Additionally, liquids over 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) must be placed in checked luggage or in a quart-sized bag in carry-on luggage. Always check the TSA website for the most current list of prohibited items.

How can I expedite my airport security experience?

To expedite your security experience, consider enrolling in a trusted traveler program like TSA PreCheck. Arrive at the airport early, wear easily removable shoes, and keep your boarding pass and ID ready. Packing your carry-on efficiently and minimizing the number of items you need to remove can also help speed up the process.

Are there any specific tips for traveling with Pampered Chef products?

When traveling with Pampered Chef products, ensure that any glass or ceramic items are well-padded to prevent breakage. Consider checking larger items to avoid carrying them through security. If you have any tools or knives, pack them in your checked luggage, as they are not allowed in carry-on bags.

What should I do if I have a medical device or medication while traveling?

If you have a medical device or need to carry medication, ensure that you have the necessary documentation, such as a doctor's note. Keep medications in their original containers and inform the TSA officer at the security checkpoint about your medical needs. Most medications are allowed in carry-on luggage, but it's best to check specific regulations beforehand.

How can I stay informed about airport security changes before my trip?

To stay informed about airport security changes, regularly check the TSA website and subscribe to their updates. Additionally, follow your airline's social media channels or sign up for notifications, as they often provide real-time information about security procedures and any changes that may affect travelers.
