Bumping is when you post on a thread so that it'll come up to the top of the posts list so people can view it again. If no one posts on a thread for a while, other threads get above it in the list of posts, and the thread you like goes down, down, and down. So if you want to keep it up towards the top so people can see it easily and not forget about it, you "bump" it.
