I agree with Janet, I wouldn't blindside the consultant...this situation happened to a very good friend of mine. She called the consultant (or maybe emailed) and said she had been invited to the host's show, but since she was a consultant she would like to come and watch/observe. The consultant...
The rule with our school is fever free for 24 hours before returning to school and they consider 100 a fever. Keep him home...you would hate for him to pass illness on to others.
Take a shower when you get home too, and yes wash the clothes before playing with the baby. I have a cousin who is nurse and she did that for the 1st 2 years of her daughter's life...she worked in a hospital at the time. Also, you don't have to shake hands with people - the feeling may be...
I do the same thing...ask if it is ok, and I've never had anyone say no. Most of the time if a host doesn't take advantage I do...not for my kitchen but for my business.
I use the extra products at vendor events for the big give-away prize or at my own "mystery host" shows for an instant...
It might be better for her to wait...it benefits both of you is she can have a strong start. In the meantime, maybe have her send out postcards and emails telling everyone she starting PC...you never know what will come from that!
Great "Top 10" list! My director always says host coach better than a cooking show...her catalog shows never fall below $500...according to her she coaches about the same but maybe an extra phone call or postcard. Catalog shows are something I need to work on as well.
I Love, Love, Love this recipe...a couple summers ago I think we ate this at least once a week! LOL I have a surprise party to go to this weekend and this may be my dish! Yum!
Awesome specials...anyone think they'll surprise us with a New Consultant Promo? Hard to believe they wouldn't but what could they offer? They offered so much this year alone.
And just when you think you've heard all the excuses...I'm so sorry, but I have complete faith something will happen for you to make Conference a reality. Get on the phone, send emails...how short are you?
I moved and my business boomed! Ask for referrals from your friends, family and customer base. I had 1 show booked when I moved and it made me feel so much better. Line up catalog shows for at least the next 2 months...that way you buy some time to get unpacked on your feet without worrying...
I've sold several, and booked several shows from using it. On average, I sell about 1 full price every 5-6 months and my hosts (maybe about 1 in 3 hosts) tend to buy it or some form of cookware. You don't have to have it to sell cookware...in fact my last one sold at full price I didn't even...
I have a show in a few weeks, and we are featuring with the Mex Lasagna or Penne Al Fresco...this host is a repeat and always has many guests, and they like to eat. I don't normally do more than 1 recipe at a show, but for her I'm making an exception...I really don't want to demo a 2nd recipe...
