Not "allowed" but I make pepperoni chips on it, and it's been just fine. lay out thin sliced pepperoni, sprinkle with green-can Parmesan. Only takes a couple of minutes to get crisp (in my microwave at least).A lifesaver for my low-carb diet! Chips!
Even if you get the Wi-Fi +3G though, you are not REQUIRED to carry a data plan. There are no contracts for iPad data, and you can turn it on and off month by month. I will probably get the Wi-Fi +3G and use it on my home network primarily, but maybe activate the data plan if I'm travelling or...
I know from my Weight Watcher days that the same 1oz block of cheese goes much further grated on our fine microplane than on a regular grater or even regular shreds from a bag. You get a big fluffy pile of cheese when you do this.

1/2 to 1/4 of an onion, either in wedges or chopped in the food chopper - I usually ask if everyone's seen the food chopper. If yes, I just put wedges in, if no, I'll show that on the onions.

Re: netbooksI have an Asus Eee PC and P3 runs perfectly fine. Don't know the exact model number, but it's just over two years old, I paid $260 for it, and it has been an awesome little compy. Originally got 9 1/2 hours battery life, all this time later, it still gets 6+ hours on a charge.
Sheila, I love that it goes back to your page--how do you create an event from a page? I didn't know you could do that? Do you have to have your 25 likes and username? Maybe that's my problem.
