I just started mailing out the invites for the hostess but have had a difficult time getting the list in a timely fashion. There are some good ideas here that I"m going to start doing. Thanks!
As for saving time addressing the envelopes, don't forget that we can purchase in supplies the 3...
Well, I know the party was in the fall but here is what I am doing with my January shows....
"Soup & Slippers" shows
Since it's cold outside (or it's suppose to be cold) what better way to warm you up than your fuzzy, comfy slippers and soup delicious soup?! Everyone brings their fuzzy...
I originally started out having all checks written to the host and they write me one big check. But, I experienced a delay in getting the check from the hostess and most times I close the show over the phone so they'd have to mail the check to me.
The start of this year, I decided to...
I have the apple/peeler/corer/slicer thingy and just recently started using it. I did some apple themed shows using it and everyone fell in love with it. I let me new consultant use it at her open house during her demo and not only did she fall in love with it, her guests did too! If you...
I usually take at least my Rectangle Baker and one of my bar pans (size depends upon the type of people in the audience which I find out during host coaching).
I mentione the normal stuff that eveyone else mentions and ask guests what their favorite piece is, etc. Then I pull out my Bar...
I thought about doing Farmer's Markets too this summer but the few that I checked out would only let you in if you had something "homemade" you were selling or you grew it yourself! I was really kind of bummed as I thought it would be a great opportunity to get my name out there. Hope you all...
I have a hostess who is looking for the discountinued stoneware lids - both the rectangle & round. Please let me know if you have either or both! Thanks!
I would hit on products that are great for re-heating or cooking for 1 or 2 people. When looking at stoneware, hit the mini-bakers or small oval bakers and the small or medium bar pan. You might also mention the mini loaf pan which is great for baking those Christmas gifts for the neighbors...
Tina - I think the reason that theme shows work for me is that "fits" my personality. When I started out, I did the "demo" shows and tried doing the cooking shows PC gave us but I felt stiff and uncomfortable and I think it showed and was reflected in my sales. Last year, (my first year) my...
Suzy -
If you don't have alot of the new products, you might want to check out the first attachment which is the game I do. I won't be adding a lot of the new products because I don't have them either. Since I do 4 games, I try to make certain 2 of the games covers that month's guest...
I've made the Turtle Skillet cake, flopped it out of the skillet after everyone arrived and then used the skillet as the 4th item to bid on so it could cool. Letting them see how easily the cake just comes out of the skillet is really impressive for them plus I get a chuckle out of it everytime!
Well, depending upon what they've had in the past (since they've been to so many shows lately), I'd do an app or two. I really love the Tex Mex Chicken Melts in the All the Best cookbook or do a few dips and make it a "sip & dip" type thing. I'd find out what they've had at the last few shows...
Yes, I either make the recipe ahead of time or I've done it during an Ice Cream Social party when they make their own. I generally use this with a group that is very "seasoned" with Pampered Chef. In my experience, those groups don't really enjoy the demo all that much and want to eat when...
