I toasted slivered almonds once at a Show and the almonds were embeded into the cooker. I couldn't get them out... I had to replace it! I think it all depends on the microwave.

I have heard that if you put it in the oven on cleaning cycle it will come out brand new. Of course, I have never tried it but I have customers that clean their stoneware that way. Dora
