We used to stay at the Embassy Suites Hotel down the street from the Sheraton, but 2 yrs ago, we stayed at the Palmer, and last year at the downtown Hilton......so it could be anywhere!
janetupnorth said:I don't know if you saw my posting on the banquet thread...not finalized but Yvonne is pretty sure we are at the Sheraton again.
dannyzmom said:How is the Palmer? We've only ever stayed at the Sheraton so the Palmer is new to me. Carol hasn't announced where her banquet is yet - last 2 years it was Sheraton - the year before it was Hilton...so I don't know.

OhmyDLM said:I'm and definitely a Palmer House girl! I LOVE LOVE LOVE it there because it's so close to all the downtown shopping. There's two shoe stores just outside the entrance, my kind of place and I DO love that corner bakery too!
My first year I went we stayed at the Hilton and I remember being starving because we couldn't find any food other than the hotel restaurant. We walked and walked and couldn't find what we were looking for. We stayed at the Palmer house the next year and I've never looked back. I guess I'm hooked LoL I do go back to the Hilton each time for our executive banquet so I get the best of both worlds I guess!

PamperedDor said:Hey Ginger - did you book your flight? I haven't yet - not happy with my fares this year at all - I was hoping it would be the same or close as last year - What day are you flying out and back - I will go in a day early and maybe stay the last night as well - NOW lets get Colleen too!!
Well, I have to say, last year we walked and walked and walked from the Hilton to find a Corner Bakery. We found it about 15 blocks later (exaggerating, but only a little). Then as we were back tracking to get to our train stop, we passed a different Corner Bakery. I could have screamed, but I was too worn out from the long walk with our luggage and the with our food, too. Some dude in the hotel told us where we could find that far away Corner Bakery. I hope we didn't tip him for that information.OhmyDLM said:I'm and definitely a Palmer House girl! I LOVE LOVE LOVE it there because it's so close to all the downtown shopping. amy07 said:Oh Diane! You mean I actually might meet you!?!? I'm sure I'll need your positive attitude if food is really as much as a hike from the Hilton as it sounds!
letscook04 said:You book your flight? If so, how much and when are you leaving?
PC For Me 2 Move Out said:HI! This will be my 1st time going, seeing as I just joined!! LOL! Which hotel would be best, the Hilton probably, right? I'm planning on bringing my mother! So, I'm excited!! Hope to meet some of you there!!
