Boost Your Success with 3-2-1 Accountability: A Productivity Diary

In summary, Sandy is trying to do 3-2-1 but has trouble getting to 4 contacts a week. Paulette is trying to do 3-2-1 but is not doing well with only 2 shows per month. JAE is trying to do 3-2-1 7 days a week.

So, I went to church today - no catalog tote, no PC bag, no logo wear, nothing. This is my day off, I don't do PC on Sunday usually.Anyway, a lady who watching my DD for a year about 6 years ago walks up and says, "I heard you do Pampered Chef, right?" Long story short, she wants to do a PC shower for her daughter's HS graduation on June 1st because her daughter just moved out into an apartment last week. Also her daughter is getting married Aug. '09 so I get a registry and shower for next year out of this too.Funny this is I KNOW that this lady has had plenty of PC parties with other people over the years...and my recruiter goes to my church and trust me, EVERYONE knows she does PC.It was a nice surprise! I'm excited! :) Now to think how the best way to do the shower/party...I told her I'd give her options on how we can invite. (...and she made sure to say she is hoping people buy stuff for themselves too!!!!)

no calls for me today aside from team calls. Just found out that one of my newest recruits is $60 away from qualifying and is bringing a recruit lead to our cluster meeting on Tuesday!! She is still in her first 30 days, so she is really excited and I'm in awe! I knew she was going to do great, but she is on FIRE!!:sing: :sing: :sing: She has plans on a few others that she is going to work on signing before her 30 days is up. :D

Wonderful Amy - you'll be on your way to the next level before you know it!!!!

Congratulations on building such a strong team so fast!

Made my 3 contacts for today, but again, no significant outcome. I am thinking I should be getting a booking soon, after having so many NO's!

I did speak with my latest recruit (signed in Feb). She has a fundraiser coming up next weekend, and then 3 more shows before her 90 days are up!

I also finally heard from a MIA host for my April 19th host. I have been waiting for her guest list. She confirmed that the show is still on, but her e-mail isn't working so well, so she is going to mail the invites.

I do have a booth at a Children's trade show this weekend. I am hoping to get some good leads.

How is everyone else doing with 3-2-1?

no contacts for me today. had a field trip with my DS today, to the zoo in the rain! yuck! So when I got home I bundled up on the couch with a blanket, turned on the fire and crashed. Then we had scouts!
I'm exhausted!

I'm finally checking in! Tax season is really kicking my rear this year. So I have decided that I am going to pick up the phone 3 times to make calls a day. I'm not going to stress over live contacts or not. I just want to keep the momentum of actually making the calls going until after the 15th, then I will worry about the live contacts.

Good news though. I got an email from someone who is looking to do a show. I'm not sure how she got my info though. She said that she went through the main website and got referred to the same person each time, and that person didn't get back to her on three different occasions! I'm wondering if it was my director who just lost her directorship this month. Supposedly she is still doing shows, but she is being "picky" about the ones she does. So I emailed this person back saying that I was sorry she was having such a hard time finding a consultant but that I would love to help her out! Yeah! I hope it turns into a show!

  • #1,908
had my team meeting tonight, so no calls for me today.

  • #1,909
Darn! I only made two calls today. Had to leave a message for one. The other went really good. I did an OOB call to a guest from an end of February show. She seemed happy to hear from me and we ended up having a 10 minute conversation. Her daughters neighbor is a consultant, but she hasn't heard from her in a while. She may want to do a fall show. Also, her other daughter is getting married next year, so I am sending her a brochure on the wedding registry. Since the show she went to was with the old catty I am going to send her a new one as well.

I made 2 contacts from my fair the other day, but nada. I was a little distracted today I will post in another thread. My fair on sat was not as good as I want, but some possibilities. There is a lady who is bilingual who might host a show and I offered the opportunity she turned it down, but we will see. Another lady wants to do a woman's fair and asked if I would be interested. I of course said yes! I will let you know if anything else happens.

  • #1,911
I haven't been able to do my contacts. After I got done with my show on Thursday night I got to my car to see I had 6 missed calls. My dad died. I will post 3-2-1 results when I am ready to get back on the phone again. I had my director cancell my show that I was supposed to have Sunday but I will be doing my other show this Thursday. Wish me luck.

On 3-2-1 - I have a show tonight...one guest had to cancel (see Prayer Request thread on missing person). Still have 7 coming hopefully - we had 3-4 inches of snow last night so the roads are bad today - icy.I'm all packed but forgot to get host information and stuff like that together so I may have to book shows and send it later! YIKES! I only have 1 recruiting CD with but I did put the come join me flyer in all the folders...anyway, I'll have my 3+ contacts tonight!

Thank you ladies. I really appreciate every one of you praying for me. I could really use it right now.

As for the 3-2-1, I am in NO mood yet to make calls but someone who I gave up on last month actually called me to set a tenative date for June. It was nice to get some good news.

So, how'd it go?

  • #1,923
yesterday I made 3 contacts. 1 small order, and the others are looking at the catalog.

  • #1,924
Tuesday, I made 2-3 contacts, with nothing significant to report.

Yesterday, I only made one contact at the Wal-Mart check out line. I gave the girl a min-catty, and got her contact info. Will follow up tonight.

So, how'd it go?

Just came to post. 9 were supposed to show up, had 6 counting the host so two were missing. 1 didn't show due to the tragedy in Mosinee, 1 has had a migraine for 3 days and the 3rd has something come up with the kids.

It was an odd show for me, I ALWAYS get bookings! No bookings, no recruit leads, but $300 in sales with the ones there and coaching the host to get those outside orders to get the stuff she would like cheaper!

It was pretty much all the hosts neighbors...ladies in their 50's mostly...loved the stuff, didn't cook a ton though and liked to attend but not host. I thought I almost had one, she is interested but "afraid people won't come". I coached her through many scenarios...I know how you feel, host felt the same way, even tried the catalog show angle...no bite yet but I'm gently not giving up until I get that firm NO.

No one put down their e-mail on the forms, but I got them all at checkout. :D

Got quite a few POSITIVE verbal comments at the show about the interactive format. We did the Greek Cheese Torta without pistachios but with bread and triscuits and the Garlic Bites to show off the cookware.

...and the REALLY cool part...I posted this last night on another thread...
As I am checking out one lady, the host mentions something about me being on the Fire Dept. Guest says, "Oh my husband is a paramedic at the hospital, do you know him?" I looked at the last name and said, "Carl". She said, "yes". I said I was on a serious call with him 5 years ago on the ambulance crew - 14 yr old boy with a gunshot wound. She says, "Oh my, you're the little one that climbed up in the tree stand to care for him and get him down. Carl talks about that story often, of 23 years in EMS, it is his MOST memorable call." (The boy survived and is a software in college now - doing great). That is how my world seems to work, it gets smaller daily!

Oh, and host liked the interactive format and show so much she wants to rebook and invite a different "crowd" in a few months! She is a friend and coworker so I'm all for it! :)

She has had many parties in the past but hadn't had one in 2 years (Arbonne) and 3 years for PC since she didn't like the consultant's format. It was "too large" for her - house full and because the consultants were too busy speaking and SELLING she couldn't socalize. Last night we sat around the table waiting for people to arrive talking and socialize and browsing the catalog. Then we did formal introductions and favorite products, then we all got up and washed hands and moved to the kitchen. Then get food, sit down at the table and shop and I went around the wall to a little table for checkout. It worked well.

I have a show tonight....so I'll get in hopefully around 10 contacts there. (she is expecting 10)

I haven't made many calls this week. I haven't been sick, but I've been "blah". Not sure what the problem is. I've been praying for discernment on whether it's physical, spiritual, or emotional......just have felt tired and not wanting to do much of anything.
Right now I am trying to "psych" myself up for my show tonight, so I hope my yuck attitude doesn't spill over.

We are doing the Seven Layer Southwestern Salad and Cran-Rasp Fizz as an interactive demo, and I like that combo, and format. The show is about an hour north, so I have a drive that I'm not looking forward to......

Well I had a good day- got a phone call from a woman I sent a new catalog to - I've never actually met her but she was an outside order a couple of years ago on one of my first shows - she has since placed another order and today she called to ask if she could do her own catalog show! She ordered enough to be a guest and got some stuff discounted and the host special - so it definitely paid for me to send that catalog! I also booked a vendor event for next Friday and another cooking show for April 26th just this week! And I'm heading to St. Louis for the weekend to do a show for my cousin and visit friends - my mom is riding down with me (I'm in the suburbs of Chicago) - looking forward to it - wish the weather were going to be nicer!

Definitely off my game last night. The show was very disjointed, and I forgot a bunch of normal stuff - like my recruiting spiel, and talking about stoneware (even though I used the DCB! ) It was crazy. I drove through a driving rainstorm to get there, had to park a ways from the house - by the time I got me and my stuff in the house, everything (including me!) was soaking wet. The guests all arrived EARLY! But none of them were interested in me or helping....they were all talking to each other, and no one wanted to talk to me! (that's a weird position for me to be in.)It was supposed to be an Interactive Show - but we were in a tight space - so I made it a semi-interactive show - and just passed things around for people to try. The one person who did come by me to try out the UM - ended up buying it at full price! There was a MK consultant there, busy booking facial shows - I tried to ignore it - but I've had that happen more than once with MK consultants - they are not my favorite guests.:grumpy: I got one booking - for June! I now have 8 bookings for June, and still only 3 for May. I spent a good deal of time talking up HWC, and even offered a special deal for booking in May - but still no takers. The strange thing was - in checking my Guest Care slips after the show, one girl who had indicated she was interested in hosting said No when I asked her at checkout....that was weird to me.....and she was one who was very responsive, and asked questions, and gave testimonials about products during the show.Oh - and then had to drive through the blinding Thunderstorm on the way home. Wind was blowing my Vue around on the road, and the rain was coming in sheets sideways.....

Well last night was my first show since my dad died. I was totally off my game. The show started late, the cake took way longer b/c her microwave was a very low wattage, tons of other little things.

Sales are just at $200 and the only booking was a girl that had already said she would book from a show I did in Feb. (But we did set a date for the end of May).

Then someone there was interested in the info for the biz. I was excited untill on her way out the door with my packet she tells me her sister in Texas SELLS pc. UGH! It was my fault for not asking if she already had someone she was working with.

Hopefully my Monday show will go better.

  • #1,931
Wow, you've all been really busy!I had great contacts last week, including an April 1 show with a total over $1,260. :)Made good contacts last week, too. This week's been slower. I spent Monday and Tuesday at the hospital with my friend while she went through her third round of chemo. She's half done and doing well.I've made a few contacts each day, but not because I've gone out of my way to do them. I plan to get a fresh start next week. In the meantime, I've earned 1/2 price for NC. I have an ad in the Taste of Home insert in 4 local newspapers. (I couldn't justify $345 for a booth. But, I've got the ad, and I'll be attending in full-out PC gear. And, yes, I'll be armed with plenty of catalogs, opportunity info, and a notebook for gathering contact info. ;))

  • #1,932
Only made 1 contact today, which resulted in getting an e-mail address and to follow up next month. Silly me, the girl told me she was waiting on a call from her mother, so I told her I wouldn't keep her, so I got her e-mail to send her the specials (my newsletter) and asked her if she would be interested in getting her friends together for her own party. She said she might, so I asked her if I can call her next month. (Duh!!!! Why not ask permission to call her next week!!).

Otherwise, I spent a few hours going to the location and setting up for a booth I have tomorrow, and then spending some time outdoors with my children, enjoying the 80 degree weather!

I am hoping to walk away with lots of leads tomorrow, although there are 4-5 of us working the booth the entire day.

  • #1,933
Had my booth yesterday. I did okay. (there was 4-5 of us sharing the booth, 4 all day, with #4 and #5 doing split shifts). Traffic was sporadic, but never busy enough to keep all 4 busy at one time.

I probably did the best, getting:

~a $55 order, plus an additional order for all 3 HWC guest special products.

~ I have 4 potential recruit leads to call within the next day or two, with another 2-3 that checked yes or maybe on their DPDS. :sing: :sing:

~1 booking lead that looks promising, and another 2-3 potential bookings

~about 13 other leads to follow up on from our "Free Cooking Show" drawing.

  • #1,934
I normally do not make calls on Sunday, except to my hosts. However, I decided to make the calls to many of those that came by my booth yesterday.

So far, out of the leads I posted above, I made 5 calls, resulting in 2 bookings for April:thumbup:  , 1 show for May, and another for June. The fifth person was not interested.

Upon calling my hostess for April 27th, she has now postponed until the following weekend.

  • #1,935
I had a show last night. Several guests in attendence but only $315 in sales. The host thinks it should get to at least $400. I did get one booking for June, but nothing else.

I really need some May bookings!

One of the guests asked for information about the business, but it turns out she was confused and was really looking for info about hosting. HUH? She's not ready to host either I guess.

I did get an order for 3 HWC scoops from someone at the show too. So 3 HWC items down, 47 to go. LOL!

  • #1,936
I am flaking....I had a fair a week ago and having a hard time touching base w/ anyone.Yesterday I got a hold of a lady who wanted to order and she told me to call back tonight at 7PM & she didn't answer.
I host coached for my thurs. show
talked w/ a catalog host, & put in some of her orders
called a past host and she placed an outlet order
about 8 machinesI really had to talk myself into doing calls tonight. I kept trying to quit, and I kept giving myself a pep talk. I am really bummed because I paid $295 for this booth and so far I haven't even booked one show, not one order. Day job is killing me, I get home and just want to crash,

  • #1,937
Today I didn't get all my contacts in but I am okay with that.

I did get an order for about $30 which I was able to tack on to the show that I closed today.

I am out of town all day tomorrow (picking up my dad's "remains"....sob) so I will TRY to resume my calls on Thursday.

I have to re-charge my biz! Only one show for May and two for June so far. And I only have one more show this month to try to get bookings off of.

  • #1,938
Got 3 contacts in on Monday, 4 on Tuesday, and 3 today. Got a couple of maybe shows I'll be working on from those. :)

  • #1,939
Got a couple of contacts each on Monday and Tuesday. One was a follow-up with the Wal-mart clerk. I am sending her a full size catty, and then calling her again mid-May. She is moving, and interested in hosting a show, as a housewarming kind of thing. Booked an end of May kid's show. Continued to call leads from the booth, but got mainly machines.

One of those messages left on the machines, resulted in one lead calling me today.....................to set up a meeting to talk about the opportunity. We are meeting next Tuesday, her first available date.:sing: :sing:

But, that was my one and only contact today. More calls tomorrow~

Where is everyone else? Too busy making calls? or too busy doing shows???:D

  • #1,940
My contacts today were:

~Booked a May 17th show (that makes 5 kitchen shows, 0 catty for May)

~Another contact needs to look at her calendar (may book May 18th, but she was at the store, and needs to look at her calendar)

  • #1,941
Ugh! Need to get my butt offline now! Life has been SOOOOO busy that I haven't made any calls or anything lately - had a show last week that I closed but that was it.So, without ANY contacts, I have May 31st booked for a craft fair - another consultant dropped that in my lap. Sunday afternoon June 1st booked for a lady at church for her daughter's graduation party...she wants a PC moving out party...I just got an e-mail about 10 minutes ago from a consultant at my church that hung up her apron. She just connected me with a lovely Christian lady about an hour from me that owns a resort and hosts 1-2 BIG shows a year. She wants at least a catalog show soon and promised a second lady she'd get some catalogs from me by Tuesday so this 2nd lady can do a catalog show...she is pretty self-sufficient as a catalog host I guess...Whew...I'm tired thinking about it, but YEAH!!!! I needed it! I went to Milw./Racine last weekend for training that I had to pay for and the gas isn't cheap and I have to pay to drive to the Regional Meeting on the 6th. I was overbudget a tad for April so this should help make up the slack.Yeah God for hopefully providing what we need in advance and without making me do much work for it!

  • #1,942
Okay so today I did a customer care call....the lady needed some qustions answered about a broken stone and seemed happy after we hung up.

I also spoke to my cousin (she lives 3 1/2 hours away) and she said if I'd be willing to drive there, she and her mom might co-host a show in June. We just have to get our calendars out to see if that is possible. (dh has family there too so paying the gas would be worth it).

Other than that I just host coached. Tomorrow I am just closing my show from Monday and then going to my nieces bday party.

  • #1,943
Thursday I saw a past host at the restaurant where I was having lunch. By the time we left, she'd decided to host a June party. I'll be calling her later today to schedule that.Got three more (total of four) contacts Thursday. None Friday. Got sick in the afternoon and went to sleep as soon as I got home from work. Better today, though.

miss me?back from a great trip! found it very interesting and learned that the online personalities that we all have do NOT convey into "real" life. Or maybe I'm just not good enuff for the "in" crowd. ;) Very insulting to introduce yourself to fellow cheffers and get the cold shoulder. DH & I had a good time though. We never really had a honeymoon so this was an awesome adventure!

  • #1,945
Hey Amy, I indeed did miss you! Glad to hear you were on vacation! Sorry to hear about your bad cheffer experience on the trip, but glad you had a great time. I know you worked hard last year and it was a well deserved trip. Wish we were in the same wave for conference, because I would love to meet ya, and get some great tips!

Welcome Back!

Can't wait to get back on the phone tomorrow and get some more contacts in. I was supposed to have a show yesterday, but she cancelled on me. Only got through to one person when I subbed some of that time for phone time. The only calls I will make tonight will be to my hosts.

That is sad to hear Amy - I would have welcomed you - of course I'm not at the level to earn the trip! :)

Glad to hear you and DH had a GREAT time! Happy late Honeymoon!

Welcome back Amy! We did miss you as a matter of fact.

As for me, the only contact I had to day was yet another product adjustment...sigh....

  • #1,948
Amy - I'm sorry you were treated that way.....and I can't wait til Nationals to meet you! But I'm glad that you and DH had a great time.....I'm planning on giving my DH that experience in Miami next year!

Soooo, this week, I officially made Level One of the incentive - now on to Level Two.

I have been feeling very blah - about alot of things, including my business. I haven't been doing 3-2-1, other than getting in contacts at my shows. I have 10 shows booked for June, but only 3 for May.....and my show schedule is not reflecting what I want for my business. I was also looking at half of my shows for June and prejudging them as being small shows. BAD mindset to have when I want success!

So, I took a weekend off from CS, and from 3-2-1, and did some thinking about where I want to be. I also had a busy weekend - had a big Training Session at Church that was under my charge, and I had the lead responsibility for teaching. That went very well, and was so much fun! I lead a group of over 100 volunteers at my church - that's my other job! It was refreshing actually to spend some time doing something that had nothing to do with PC.

We had gorgeous weather all weekend, and yesterday afternoon, I sat in the back yard in a lounge chair and read - (FOR THE FIRST TIME! ) The Pampered Chef, by Doris Christopher. Can I just say WOW! What an incredible book, What an amazing woman, and what a fantastic company! If I wasn't already a consultant - I would want to be after reading that book.

It really re-energized me, and made me feel good about my business. So many things that I do with my business are the ways that Doris intended for things to be done. So when I resist playing alot of selling/booking/recruiting games, and when I refuse to do a hard sell or refuse to use "psychology" to try to manipulate people to buy, or book, or sign - that's okay, because Doris never did those things either. The book sorta made me fall in love with my business again - and I am re-energized this morning to do well.

I have some goals for this week -
1.To GET ON THE PHONE and book 3 shows for May.
2. To take a hard look at my host coaching, and ramp it up a bit. (I've been doing poorly at this lately)
3. To get in contact with my lead list and offer them this wonderful opportunity again. (been doing poorly at this too.)

AND - if you haven't read this wonderful book, or if it's been a while since you have - read it - or read it again! What a shot in the arm!

  • #1,949
Congrats on making level 1 Becky! Now, get back on that phone and get those bookings so you can get to Level 2!

I think I will order the Pampered Chef book on my next supply order. I could use the re-energizing as well.

I did make 2 contacts yesterday. One resulted in a June booking for a Kid's cooking show, and for the second, I am sending a catalog and the Host Special Flyers and then following up.

I do have an interview with a potential recruit today, so keep your fingers crossed for me! I will report later on how it went.

  • #1,950
got my contacts in today and did a new consultant training. I WANT to get back on track! Hoping to kick things into gear again. I've been a slacker for quite some time.
