Has anyone here ever used phyllo dough with the cut-n-seal? I'm imagining little phyllo rounds with mascarpone and chocolate filling, baked then dusted with powdered sugar. Thoughts?

I'm thinking that Phyllo would be too fragile to cut n seal that way...I think it would tear it.

I don't know though - never tried it.

I really hate working with phyllo dough. I think puff pastry would be easier and quite yummy.

Puff pastry would be good for sure. Theres something I really like about phyllo, though. I think youre right Becky, it might be too fragile...

Hi there! I have used the cut-n-seal with phyllo dough and it works like a charm! Your idea of making little phyllo rounds with mascarpone and chocolate filling sounds absolutely delicious. I would suggest brushing the phyllo dough with melted butter before filling and sealing them to give them a nice golden color and extra flavor. And the dusting of powdered sugar is the perfect finishing touch. Let me know how they turn out! Happy cooking!
