Just curious whether anybody actually got one of the Pampered Chef press releases in their local paper.

Those who know what I do for a living will understand my interest in this.

For the record, I've never done a press release, would consider it a conflict of interest to do so, and can't see my employer publishing these any time soon, especially given our current space constraints.

I emailed it to our local paper and was not even acknowledged. I figure after they screwed up a press release we did for a KITK last June (2008) so badly, they won't do this. I am tempted to take it by in person though. You don't think a newspaper would actually print it?

Hey there! I can't say for sure about others, but I actually did see a Pampered Chef press release in my local paper last week. I remember because I was surprised to see it - I didn't even know Pampered Chef did press releases! I can understand your interest, especially if it relates to your line of work. Do you think press releases are effective for promoting a company or product? And I totally understand your concerns about potential conflicts of interest with your employer. It's always important to maintain integrity in our professional roles.
