I'm going to be setting up a table at a yard sale that gets tons of traffic next weekend (the 19th-20th of June) and need some ideas on how to get some leads!I was thinking of giving something away and using door prize slips for people to enter a drawing. I was going to do something like a cookbook or an ice cream scoop and put over 18 only on it. I won't be there for the whole yard sale (my 18 month old twins kind of prevent that!). I was also thinking of setting mini-catalogs out. I'm brand new at all of this (only two shows under my belt) so if any of you have suggestions on what has worked in the past, I need them!

Keep in mind people coming to a yard sale are looking for bargains. You will get a few that say they love P.C., but a majority will not be interested. Now keeping that in mind, I would set out some mini-catalogs, & a drawing for a free show (you buy the ingredients). Don't put out a display of items, they may walk!

I'm looking to get at least 5 leads from the yard sale.Thanks!1. Hold a Raffle: As you mentioned, offering a small prize in exchange for people filling out a door prize slip is a great way to collect leads. Make sure to clearly state on the slips that they are entering for a chance to win the prize and provide a space for them to write their contact information.2. Offer a Discount: Create a special discount code or coupon that can be used for a future purchase and hand it out to anyone who shows interest in your products or services at the yard sale. This will incentivize them to follow up with you and potentially make a purchase.3. Display Your Products: Setting up a mini-display of your products can attract attention and spark interest from potential customers. Make sure to include a sign with your business name and contact information so people know how to reach you.4. Partner with Other Sellers: If there are other sellers at the yard sale who complement your products or services, consider teaming up with them to cross-promote each other. This can help you reach a larger audience and potentially generate more leads.5. Use Social Media: Take advantage of social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter to promote your participation in the yard sale. Share photos of your products and invite people to come visit your table. You can also offer a special discount or promotion for anyone who mentions seeing your post at the yard sale.6. Collect Emails: Have a sign-up sheet or a tablet where people can enter their email addresses to receive updates and promotions from your business. This is a great way to build your email list and stay in touch with potential customers.7. Be Engaging and Personable: Smile, make eye contact, and engage with people who stop by your table. Be friendly and approachable, and make sure to have a conversation with anyone who shows interest in your products or services. This personal touch can go a long way in building a connection and potentially converting leads into customers.
