I'm not really sure where to post this. It is going to be a fundraiser, so, we'll start here. I just booked someone who wants to do a cooking show fundraiser with her daughter's Girl Scout troop and their parents/families. At the same time, she wants the girls to do something to work toward one of their badges. She said it will be a cadette badge, not a junior badge, and she'll have to research it a little to figure one out that works. Um, any ideas here? It's been a loooooooong time since I was a Girl Scout (at least, technically!). TIA!

I only made it to Junior so I'm not sure of requirements...but I would see if you can contact the GS leader directly--she should know and it might be better than getting the info second hand.

But that just gave me a thought of a service we could possibly provide :-) I can see it more for Brownies as a parent/daughter type of thing! And a Try It badge earned!

It is actually against the girl scouts policy to participate in fundraisers like ours ( I used to work for the Girl Scouts) It can only really be done if you "donate" the money that they would have earned. http://www.girlscouts.org/program/gs_central/insignia/list/11_17.asp here is a link to the page that shows what the girls this age an earn. Most of the requirements aren't listed online but you can usually borrow a book from the council, or possibly the library.
You could focus on anything from food, business, even breast cancer awareness with HWC. Good luck. Mara

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a Girl Scout fundraiser and how can Pampered Chef be involved?

A Girl Scout fundraiser is an event or activity organized by Girl Scouts to raise money for their troop or specific projects. Pampered Chef can be involved by hosting a cooking show or online party where a percentage of the sales goes directly to the Girl Scout troop, helping them reach their fundraising goals while promoting cooking skills and healthy eating.

How can Girl Scouts earn badges through a Pampered Chef fundraiser?

Girl Scouts can earn badges by incorporating cooking and nutrition themes into their fundraising activities. For example, they can host a cooking demonstration using Pampered Chef products, which can help them earn badges related to culinary skills, healthy living, or community service, depending on their age group and the specific badge requirements.

What types of Pampered Chef products are suitable for a Girl Scout fundraiser?

Products that are popular for a Girl Scout fundraiser include kitchen tools, cookbooks, and meal prep items. Items that promote healthy cooking, such as measuring cups, cutting boards, and silicone baking mats, are particularly appealing as they align with the goals of teaching cooking skills and healthy eating habits to the girls and their families.

How can we promote our Pampered Chef fundraiser to maximize participation?

To promote your Pampered Chef fundraiser effectively, utilize social media platforms, create eye-catching flyers, and share information through local community boards and newsletters. Encourage Girl Scouts to invite friends and family to the event, and consider offering incentives, such as a prize for the troop that sells the most products, to boost participation and engagement.

Are there any specific guidelines or requirements for hosting a Pampered Chef fundraiser with Girl Scouts?

Yes, it’s important to check with your local Girl Scout council for any specific guidelines or requirements regarding fundraising activities. Additionally, ensure that all promotions and events comply with both Pampered Chef policies and Girl Scouts' fundraising regulations to maintain a positive and effective partnership.
