I have a guest who wanted to make sure that it was safe to use her stoneware in her RV oven. I believe it is called an Electrolite oven. It is not convection, but it can be switched from microwave to a regular cooking oven. It heats both from the top and the bottom with heating elements.

Thanks!

I'm not sure what kind of oven my customers have in their RV's, but I have several customers who stocked up on stoneware specifically to use on their RV's.

Yes, stones are safe in RV ovens. I know that the Large bar pan does not fit but the med one does.

My RV is four years old, and I have used it numerous times with the medium stones.
You kind of have to experiment and be willing to keep a careful watch on the recommended temps and cooking times. It's not as air tight and powerful as my home
oven. I use my Rice Cooker to bake cakes in our microwave, and that turns out perfect.
So, if you cannot sell the person stoneware, suggest the Rice Cooker for the chocolate lava cake. I've also used my silicone floral piece in the oven with good results. Just don't overbake.

I use the med bar pan in my 5th wheel all the time.

Thanks everyone! My guest has the deep covered baker and was just hesitant to use it in her RV - she's excited to try it now!

Frequently Asked Questions

1. Can I use Pampered Chef stoneware in my RV oven?

Yes, you can use Pampered Chef stoneware in your RV oven, but it's important to check the oven's temperature settings and size to ensure compatibility. Make sure your stoneware fits comfortably and that the oven can reach the required temperatures for baking.

2. What temperature should I avoid when using stoneware in an RV oven?

Avoid temperatures above 500°F (260°C) when using stoneware, as excessive heat can cause the stoneware to crack or break. Most Pampered Chef stoneware is designed for temperatures up to 450°F (232°C), so it's best to stay within that range for optimal safety and performance.

3. How should I preheat my RV oven when using stoneware?

Preheat your RV oven gradually to the desired temperature before placing the stoneware inside. This helps prevent thermal shock, which can occur if the stoneware is placed in a hot oven too quickly. Allow the oven to reach the desired temperature before adding your stoneware and food.

4. Can I use stoneware on the stovetop in my RV?

No, Pampered Chef stoneware is not designed for stovetop use. It is meant for baking and cooking in the oven. Using it on the stovetop can lead to cracking or damage, so always use it in the oven as intended.

5. How do I clean my stoneware after using it in an RV oven?

To clean your stoneware, allow it to cool completely before washing. Avoid using soap, as it can absorb into the stoneware. Instead, use hot water and a scraper or brush to remove food residue. For tough stains, you can use a paste of baking soda and water. Always dry your stoneware thoroughly before storing it.
