Those were the sauté tongs, though I'm not sure what exactly the point of them is (i.e. why one would need them when we've got the Chef's tongs). Any attendees wanna share?

Those are the new saute tongs. They are stainless heads with silicone on the outside so that you can use them in your cookware. They store flat like the bamboo tongs and then fold over for use. They are long and skinny for getting into pickle jars, dipping stuff, ect.

Yes they are for HWC. The skit was awesome! They used the premise as a boat loosing the new PC products. And one of the sales staff (cannot remember her name) was thrown over board trying a new theme show on a boat.

Using them to get into jars makes sense. i just think the name 'sauté tongs' is kinda silly. Same with the bamboo 'cracker' tray -- yet all the pics of it show anything BUT crackers in it!

I wish they had a picture of it doing a pineapple! It's totally different from the pineapple slicer I got from Williams-Sonoma. That one spirals down into the pineapple, pulling it out in one huge spiral that you can then cut into rings. Then you're left with an intact shell to fill with a festive, yet incredibly gay, drink. ;)

Darn! I was hoping the Pineapple wedger was going to be something else. They sell these Pineapple things that "screw" into the pineapple, so you don't have to remove the outside skin. But from the pic of our new one, it looks like you have to remove the skin first???

I think it's for submitting 2 shows in March or 2 shows at the beginning of the month or something like that! They have that style or a smaller "uni-sex" black apron that ties around the waist.

I see that it was partially answered, but the Saute Tongs are intended for little things that would be overwhelmed by the Chef's Tongs.
I posted some pics of the HWC aprons in the HWC items thread. And the prices on the HWC items this year. Yes, the Daisy plates will be available individually (set of 4, anyway) or as a full set of 16 with the stand. Guests will be able to buy them at full price (listed in the HWC thread).

That is soooo funny. My daughter was making shrimp scampy yesterday at my house and asked if I had a pair of the old toaster tongs...I handed her the small bamboo tongs and she says "it slips out of the tongs and doesn't work for shrimp". I handed her the chef's tongs she says "no, those are too big, don't you have any of those toaster tongs". Nope can sell them...don't have them. I can't wait to show her the new ones!! She loves to cook and has as much PC stuff as I do...she's only 21.:D

The SAT and changeover ship dates are in the December and January CNs. SAT boxes ship later this month. Changeover ships to arrive for consultants and FDs Feb. 4.
I am really happy that the "attend Leadership and receive a selection of products" items were actually given to us there, so that we could play with them. :D That's why we got the shopping bags - they had a SBRC, 29 Minutes Volume 2 and a set of the Bamboo Prep Towels in them. And HO was really thinking, because they're all airline-friendly items (unlike the cookware from a few years ago).

You are probably seeing the new dipping seasonings, they are 4.1 oz.
Parmesan-Garlic Oil Dipping Seasoning = $6.50
Sun-Dried Tomato Herb Oil Dipping Seasoning = $6.50

It's the new "oil dipping spices." I'd look forward to using that sun dried tomato spice in rice.

Yes you do, as long as you stop calling it EVOO ....
I think the pink apron is a little busy too ... much prefer the unisex one, and wonder if it's REALLY a half apron or just folded that way.

Too cool! I love the pics and thank you so much to everyone who posted pics and info! I can not wait!!! Hey Linda and Ann you think leftymac needs to be grateful he wasn't rooming with me?
It sounds like you all had a great time! Maybe next year. I think my one recruit has died in all the snow we got. I have not heard from her since before Thanksgiving and my director has even called too. No submitted shows in December and nothing so far in January so I bet she goes inactive and never shows up again. With Pat better maybe I can get out more to do parties this year. Oh couple of questions - Ann - you mentioned a Bamboo Prep Towel? And what about the shopping bags? I think I saw something. I assume these will be available for us to purchase. How much are these? I am trying very hard to go eco friendly so maybe I will add going "cranberry" to the mix! Not to mention the great advertising!!

Haha why should I be thankful I wasn't rooming with you? Surely would've been better than my experience!
The bags are 5 for $6.50 I believe! The bamboo prep towels are neat -- they have a snap so they can attach to your apron or belt loop, and the fibers are made from bamboo.

Hey, John!!
The prep towels are sooooo cool! White with a little snap loop to hook to belt loops, apron strings, fridge handles, etc. And bamboo is such a soft, absorbent fiber.
The shopping bags will be on supply order. Keith's right on the price- 5 for $6.50. Someone posted a pic of one in one of the other threads, but there is a pic in the SE CN, when HO gets that online.

Nope not I. Guy, Scott and Rich were my roomies. I am sorry you had a bad experience leftymac. What I was saying that Ann and Linda both know is that I too would have been captivated by your looks but I would have kept a lid on it at least! Linda and Ann both know that I can be, well, quite, how shall I put it, lude about my "like" for a goodlooking dude. (Poor Lamar!) But I would never go as far as making anyone too uncomfortable. Just isn't me. (Maybe a lot drool or staring WAY to much but... no, I would have controlled myself!) 5 for $6.50 is great! I paid $2.00 for one at Aldi! But this is such a cheap way to advertise! And I don't have alot of dough yet so.... Perfect!
And the can we get the towles too? I love renewable anything so this too sounds great.
And - added later - OMG Keith! Nope would never have gone there!

Harvard's FINANCIAL endowment is HUGE. So using that as a comparison would a) mean that the respondent is also quite large; and b) indicate to the questioner that it's a rude question, not deserving of a serious response.

Speaking of pictures and stretch pants - remember the movie Superman Returns? Well, here is a place where stretch pants are a good thing! Brandon Routh (MMMM!)
