Someone posted that one of our scoops make cookies the perfect size for storing in a decorated Pringles can? Can someone please verify what size scoop? Medium? I can not find the thread.

Thank you.

Measure diameter of can.

small scoop = 1" cookie
med scoop = 2" cookie
large scoop = 3" cookie

when I use the small scoop my cookies end up arround 2" cooked

Sounds like different cookie mixes turn out differently due to thickness of batter, nuts, etc. Clearly the only sensible thing is to try out a test batch using the different size scoops, and then eating the mistakes. Works for me. Mistakes can be fun!

Thank you. The opening of the tall can is about 3 1/4 so I guess I should use the MEDIUM scoop to allow for some spread. I'll try it tonight with some oatmeal cookies - want to do something for a Homemade for The Holidays display.

Please let me know how it goes, as I think this is a great idea, for when my husband finally gets overseas. Thanks

ROFL! I plan for mistakes too, so I can eat them.

HILARIOUS!......but VERY true! I agree - it is your ONLY option!

Dumb question: how do you clean the Pringles can so it doesn't stink? or be oily?

Bump, does anyone know?

I have never noticed the insides of the cans being particularly oily or smelly. Are you using the plain Pringles or the flavored ones?

I had been told the Medium one, but it really does depend on how much your particular cookie recipe spreads during baking.

I've never tried this, but can't you just wash with dish soap and hot water, or will it make it too soggy, I guess it is cardboard, isn't it...... hmm, just check my Pringles can, and it has like a foil lining in it, you might be able to wipe it out with a clorax wipe or something like that...... or even a hand and face type wipe.

If you do that, make sure you use a wipe that's approved for food surfaces. Some of them are not, or require rinsing afterward.I'd just ball up a paper towel on a kitchen brush and wipe out the can.
