Believe it or not, I've never made any dip with our seasonings. Can someone tell me the ratio of mayo, sour cream, and which of our seasonings are best for this? I have a show tomorrow and I said I'd bring a dip to force myself to do it. Thanks!:chef:

1 cup of each and 3 T of seasoning. I use the Chipotle Rub or the Southwest Seasoning.

Thank you, Stacie. Looks like you have twins -- I watch my twin grandsons, who are 4-1/2, and their brother, 1-1/2 daily. I know you are a busy mom!!Have you used low-fat sour cream or mayo?

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the ideal mayo-sour cream ratio for dips?

The ideal mayo-sour cream ratio for dips typically ranges from 1:1 to 2:1, depending on how creamy you want your dip. A 1:1 ratio will yield a lighter dip, while a 2:1 ratio will make it richer and creamier.

Can I use Greek yogurt instead of sour cream?

Yes, you can use Greek yogurt as a substitute for sour cream. It will add a tangy flavor and a creamy texture, making it a healthier option. Just keep in mind that it may slightly alter the taste of your dip.

What seasonings work well in a mayo-sour cream dip?

Common seasonings that work well in a mayo-sour cream dip include garlic powder, onion powder, dill, parsley, and paprika. You can also experiment with ranch seasoning, taco seasoning, or even fresh herbs for added flavor.

How can I adjust the flavor if my dip is too bland?

If your dip is too bland, try adding more seasonings gradually. You can also incorporate ingredients like lemon juice, hot sauce, or Worcestershire sauce to enhance the flavor. Taste as you go to ensure you achieve the desired taste.

How long can I store my mayo-sour cream dip in the fridge?

Your mayo-sour cream dip can typically be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3-5 days. Make sure to keep it in an airtight container to maintain freshness and prevent contamination.
