powelljj said:I haven't tried any of those, but my favorite pie plate recipe is the Cherry Chocolate Mousse Pie that was a Celebrations show a few seasons ago. I made it for one of my husband's office get-togethers last year, and now his co-workers are always requesting it. If you are interested, I can dig up the recipe for you.![]()

You can make a variety of recipes in a Deep Stone Pie Plate, including traditional pies like apple, cherry, and pumpkin, as well as savory dishes such as quiches, casseroles, and deep-dish pizzas. The stoneware retains heat well, making it ideal for baking and serving.
To care for your Deep Stone Pie Plate, avoid sudden temperature changes, such as placing a hot dish directly into cold water. Hand wash with warm, soapy water and avoid using abrasive cleaners. It’s also recommended to season the stoneware with oil before its first use to enhance its non-stick properties.
Yes, the Deep Stone Pie Plate is microwave-safe, making it convenient for reheating leftovers or cooking certain recipes. However, always check the manufacturer's guidelines to ensure safe usage in the microwave.
For best results, preheat your oven and allow the pie plate to warm up with it. This helps in achieving a crisp crust. Additionally, consider using parchment paper or a light coating of oil to prevent sticking. Monitor baking times closely, as stoneware may cook differently than metal pans.
Yes, beginners can start with simple recipes like a classic apple pie or a no-bake cheesecake. These recipes typically require fewer ingredients and steps, allowing you to get accustomed to using the Deep Stone Pie Plate while still enjoying delicious results.
