I'm a new consultant...only 1 show under my belt. I'm having my Grand Opening this weekend- two-parter. First is a full-kitchen show (private invite only for friends, etc). The second is an Open-house for those that can't come Saturday, and for my neighborhood/casual acquantance, etc.

I need a couple of recipe ideas to have premade and out for sampling that are quick- easy, and produce alot for the money. :) Also, maybe 2 or 3 quick demo recipes. I'm doing 3 demos throughout my open-house. I'd like to prepare at least 1 or 2 quickie recipes if I can that showcase a couple of popular or versatile products. Ideas?

Appetizers or desserts. The open house is from 1-3pm on Sunday...
I hate to post and run- but I'll be back later tonight to get some ideas and start planning my shopping list. :) I'm off to a neighborhood Community Watch meeting that I'm leading- of course, wearing my Logo shirt, taking my tote, and passing out pens in my 2-cup "Easy Measure All" cup. :D Gotta put my face with the name they got on the invites 3 days ago!

Thanks all!

Thanks for the ideas. Unfortunately, since I'm new, I don't have alot of those items yet. :( I do of course have the UM, food chopper, and a knife.

But I've been going through the CC recipes, this site, and my Season's Best books. I think I've found enough recipes to sample and to demo quickly.

Just wondering what were the recipes that you decided to prepare for your grand opening? I don't have a lot of TPC items yet... and but do have the starter kit...

Frequently Asked Questions

What is an Open House in the context of Pampered Chef?

An Open House is a casual gathering where a Pampered Chef consultant invites guests to explore products, enjoy food samples, and learn about cooking techniques. It's an opportunity for guests to socialize, ask questions, and see products in action without the pressure of a formal party setting.

How long should an Open House event last?

An Open House typically lasts between 2 to 4 hours. This allows guests to come and go at their convenience, making it easier for them to fit the event into their schedules while still providing ample time to engage with the products and recipes.

What are some easy 5-minute demo recipe ideas for an Open House?

Some great 5-minute demo recipe ideas include a quick guacamole made with ripe avocados, lime juice, and seasonings, a simple fruit salsa using diced fruits and a splash of citrus, or a microwave mug cake that can be prepared in just minutes. These recipes are not only quick but also showcase the versatility of Pampered Chef products.

How can I encourage guests to participate during the demo?

Encourage participation by inviting guests to help with simple tasks, such as measuring ingredients or mixing. You can also ask questions to engage them, like their favorite cooking tips or what they would like to learn. Offering small samples for guests to taste can also spark conversation and interest.

What should I prepare in advance for the Open House?

Prepare a shopping list of ingredients for your demo recipes, set up your cooking area with necessary tools and products, and have samples ready for guests to taste. Additionally, prepare informational materials about the products and any promotions you may be offering to enhance the experience.
