Hello:

A Surprise Parties lady and I are having an open house tomorrow, and I am looking for a prepare-ahead recipe that would "set the stage for romance."

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Try the Cool and Creamy Chocolate Fondue that is on the cover of "All the Best".
(I don't have the recipe here at work with me, but someone else might have it)

This is a cool idea!
My SIL is a Pure Romance consultant and has wanted me to do a show. I have a policy that if you have a show for me I'll have a show for you. We could do this together and she could be my host and I could be hers! I love these ideas!!!

Sorry, Susan. I have no ideas for you. I had to laugh, though, when I saw the title of this thread. I actually blurted out, "Cookies always work for The Furry Guy." LOL!

Hello there,

Congratulations on your upcoming open house! I have a few prepare-ahead recipe ideas that I think would be perfect for setting the stage for romance.

1. Caprese Skewers - These are simple to prepare ahead of time and can be served as a light and refreshing appetizer. Simply skewer cherry tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, and basil leaves onto toothpicks and drizzle with balsamic glaze. They are not only delicious, but also visually appealing and perfect for a romantic setting.

2. Stuffed Mushrooms - These can be made a day ahead and baked right before your open house. You can stuff them with a variety of fillings such as cream cheese and herbs, crab and cheese, or spinach and feta. They are a crowd-pleaser and will definitely add a touch of elegance to your event.

3. Chocolate-Covered Strawberries - These classic treats are a must-have for any romantic occasion. You can make them ahead of time and store them in the fridge until your open house. Use high-quality chocolate and fresh strawberries for the best results.

I hope these ideas help! Best of luck with your open house and I'm sure it will be a success. Don't forget to set the mood with some soft music and dim lighting. Happy cooking!
