Got a free sample of the molten chocolate cake so I tried them. My DH is a super baker so I was not expecting them to meet my expectations of what molten chocolate cake should taste like. I was pretty blown away. All you had to do was add water and microwave for 30 secs. They taste so good and couldn't be easier. Plus they only have 150 calories which is pretty impressive. The only thing I dont like is the cost. They are about $5 for 2 servings. Guess I'll keep my eye out for a sale.

Can we write off our trip? This is the first year I earned a "free trip" and it was to San Francisco. I'm right in the middle of doing my taxes and on my 1099 it lists San Fran for $2521.73. Can we do anything with that amount on our taxes?

Thanks in advance!

Nope, I don't think so. My accountant doesn't let me write it off.

Your accountant should put in down as prizes and awards. I was told what that does is save you from SS tax on that.

Yes, you can write off your portion of the trip. According to my tax guy, because I discuss business with other consultants on this trip I can write it off.

As I said, Kristi, we will make sure we talk business on the entire cruise this time. :):):)

hmmm....will have to try them now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was on a call with a CPA who specializes in Direct Sales. The question was asked if our trips could be written off. She asked several questions, were we having meetings, doing shows, etc. and then said that there was no way to write them off. She said you have to be doing business on the trip. Someone else asked about talking with other consultants/networking and she said that if you got audited (only 1-3% of people actually do) that the IRS wouldn't buy that. Just thought I'd let you guys know. Her name is Vicky (I can't think of her last name), but her website is www.deductiondiva.com if anyone is interested...she had some great tips and ideas for deductions.

I can't wait to hang out with you and Brian! Did you know that I just registered on 2-2-08! Majesty is competely booked so I'm thankful that Sovereign wasn't! I would've been so sad!! I wonder if we can get the same table? If not, I better get someone that sells PC so we can network!

On the last PC cruise they had PC people seated together in one part of the dining area (like half of it!). After the first night you could sit where you wanted though.

Thanks Beth! I really can't wait!! We're tiling our entire house ourselves so we're exhausted and should be finishing up at the beginning of March. We'll be really relaxing on this cruise!:D

my college son keeps them in his dorm room

I talk about my trips at all of my parties as a tool for recruiting.

Heck, if there are non-PC people there, try to book catalog shows or even get sales while you are there!

Yeah! We met the nicest couple on our cruise - unfortunately they were from out of the country. After that first day it seemed everyone we met was with PC.
