Chef Stephanie Petersen said:This is one of my favorites for meat that will be paired with fruit. It is wonderful with beef. I love it for Portabello mushroom. It is a great choice for chicken. It got rave reviews at the resort and is so easy it is almost scary. Just bake it on a good sheet pan then broil the last 5 minutes.
1/4 cup worcestershire sauce
1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
2T honey
2T fresh pressed garlic
1/4 cup olive oil
1 T thyme
2tsp fresh cracked pepper
Combine ingredients and put 1-2 lbs of meat in ziplock with marinade overnight. (If using on mushrooms, grill right away!)
For the chicken in a Strawberry Spinach Salad, it's recommended to use a combination of salt, pepper, garlic powder, and a touch of paprika for added flavor. You can also consider using a seasoning blend that complements the sweetness of the strawberries, such as a citrus herb blend.
To prepare the chicken for the salad in the DCB, season the chicken breasts with your chosen spices, then place them in the Deep Covered Baker. Cover and microwave according to the DCB instructions, usually around 12-15 minutes, until the chicken is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.
Yes, you can use pre-cooked chicken for the Strawberry Spinach Salad. Just ensure that the chicken is seasoned well and heated through before adding it to the salad to maintain flavor and texture.
In addition to strawberries and spinach, other ingredients that pair well with the seasoned chicken include feta cheese, candied nuts (like pecans or walnuts), avocado, and a light vinaigrette dressing. These ingredients enhance the overall flavor and texture of the salad.
Absolutely! You can customize the seasoning for the chicken based on your personal preferences. Consider using different herbs and spices such as Italian seasoning, lemon zest, or even a spicy rub to add a unique twist to the dish.
