I had a client do a catalog show and the sales are at $125. I cannot afford to put any money to this right now and have asked everyone I know to see if they'll order something. They all told me no, they can't right now, but 4 of them placed an outlet order on my website. I know that any sales are good for me at this point, but what else can I do to get the extra $25 for this host? I'd hate to not give her any credit for the effort she gave. :confused:

Any advice here is helpful...
 
Tell her you'll hold it open for another week so she can collect $25 more in sales. Offer a free gift (something you already have on hand) to either her or the person who orders to get her to $150. No money out of your pocket! Good luck!
 
I agree with Cathy. Hopefully she will be able to get the $25 if not more in sales in that time. Good luck!
 
I've had host purchase items themselves to get them above the next level. That's always an option.
 
I would try brainstorming with the host to see if there was someone she missed asking to place an order. I like the idea Cathy gave, giving her an incentive to work towards. Please let us know what happens.
 
Also, tell her to talk to everyone. Sometimes hosts don't think to ask certain people because they don't want to seem pushy. So there may be a friend, coworker, neighbor, etc who she hasn't talked to who may be dying to see a catalog.
 
Make sure she tells all the people who have already ordered that a lot of items are being discontinued this month. Who knows someone may have a "mini oval baker" on their wishlist.
