Just for fun, I am doing an interactive cooking class with my DD second grade class. There are 20 students, and I would like to break them up into 4 groups of 5. I need 4 easy recipes that they can all participate in and makes enough to feed everyone. I am thinking a simple pizza (cheese, pepperoni), lemonade drink, and dessert. I thought of doing 2 pizzas, 2 quick-stir pitchers of lemonade or something kids would like, and one dessert that would give them each a sample.
Any suggestions would greatly be appreciated.;)

Ooooo I like the smores brownie. They can break up the chocolate and crackers and all get in on the marshmallow action.

Hi Ellen,
Where can I find that recipe?

Oh.....IDK......I will look for it okay? It's just basically making regular brownies in the bar pan. (if you borrowed more small bar pans then each group could do one) and then crush graham crackers, mini marshmallows and chopped hershey's chocolate on it and put it back into the oven to get the marshmallows to brown a bit. Do you have access to an oven or no?

If not, you can always do a fruit pizza and pre-bake the base of it.

Hi there! It sounds like you have a fun and interactive cooking class planned for your DD's second grade class. I love the idea of having them work in groups and making easy recipes that they can all participate in. Here are a few suggestions for your menu:1. Mini English Muffin Pizzas - This is a super easy and fun recipe that the kids can customize with their favorite toppings. Simply split English muffins in half, top with pizza sauce, cheese, and toppings of their choice, and bake in the oven until the cheese is melted and bubbly. This will make enough for each group to have their own mini pizzas.2. Homemade Lemonade - Instead of using a pre-made mix, why not let the kids make their own lemonade from scratch? All you need is fresh lemons, sugar, and water. Let each group squeeze their own lemons, add the sugar and water, and mix it up in a pitcher. This will be a refreshing and delicious drink for them to enjoy while making their pizzas.3. Chocolate Dipped Strawberries - For a simple and tasty dessert, have each group make their own chocolate dipped strawberries. All you need is melted chocolate and fresh strawberries. Let the kids dip the strawberries into the chocolate and then decorate them with sprinkles or other toppings. This will give them a sweet treat to enjoy after their pizza and lemonade.4. Fruit Salad - For a healthier option, you could also have the kids make a fruit salad together. Provide a variety of fruits such as strawberries, grapes, pineapple, and melon, and let them mix it all together in a big bowl. This will make enough for each group to have a serving of fruit.I hope these ideas help and that your cooking class is a huge success! Happy cooking!
