Sounds like a winner to me, except I think I will add some melted chocolate to the creamcheese and whipped cream filling to make it more chocolatey!:D

I couldn't tell if you were joking when you posted the request. Because seeing those ingredients stacked up just screams "Pie!" :D Besides, can you really go wrong by making mousse (cream cheese with whipped cream) and layering it with pudding?

I just found the tuxedo brownie mousse type filling recipe and will use that for the bottom, put the pudding on top then cover with whipped cream. Yumm sounds pretty alright to me! :)

Can you mail me a slice? :chef:

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the basic ingredients for a chocolate pudding pie?

A basic chocolate pudding pie typically requires chocolate pudding mix, milk, a pre-made or homemade pie crust, and whipped topping or whipped cream for garnish. You can also add chocolate shavings or nuts for extra flavor and texture.

Can I use homemade chocolate pudding instead of instant pudding mix?

Yes, you can use homemade chocolate pudding instead of instant pudding mix. Just ensure that the pudding is fully set before pouring it into the pie crust. Homemade pudding often has a richer flavor and creamier texture.

How long does a chocolate pudding pie need to chill before serving?

A chocolate pudding pie should chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 to 4 hours to allow the pudding to set properly. For best results, it's ideal to let it chill overnight.

Can I add other flavors or ingredients to my chocolate pudding pie?

Absolutely! You can customize your chocolate pudding pie by adding ingredients like peanut butter, mint extract, or even crushed cookies for a different flavor profile. Toppings like fresh fruit or nuts can also enhance the pie.

How do I store leftover chocolate pudding pie?

Leftover chocolate pudding pie should be covered with plastic wrap or stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator. It is best consumed within 3 to 5 days for optimal freshness and flavor.
