Contribution Based on Guest or Com Sales?

SUMMARY

The discussion clarifies that both the past host booking benefit and the Chairperson's purchase of the Trifle Bowl count towards guest sales in a fundraiser context. According to the "Policies and Procedures," guest sales are defined as total sales before tax and shipping, and all guest sales must include sales tax. This ensures that contributions are accurately calculated based on these sales, confirming that both types of purchases are valid for fundraising totals.

I have one guest purchasing her Trifle Bowl because of the Booking Benefit. Does that count towards the guest sales, and does the Chairperson's Trifle Bowl count towards guest sales?
This is what the "Policies and Procedures" say:
"The contribution is based on the total guest sales before
tax and shipping. All guest sales must include sales tax.
There is no tax exempt status for an individual."
I realize it says "guest sales", but I just thought I should make sure the exact meaning. Is PC's contribution based on guest sales or commissionable sales?
Thanks.

Yes, the past host booking benefit does count toward guest sales on a fundraiser - just like a regular show. The chairman's purchase also counts toward guest sales on a fundraiser.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is contribution based on guest or com sales in Pampered Chef?

Contribution based on guest or com sales refers to the earnings a consultant makes from sales generated during a party or event. This includes commissions from products sold to guests, which can vary depending on the total sales volume and the consultant's rank within the company.

How is the contribution calculated for each party?

The contribution is typically calculated as a percentage of the total sales made during the party. For example, if a consultant has a sales total of $1,000 and their commission rate is 20%, they would earn $200 as their contribution from that party.

Are there different commission rates for different products?

Yes, Pampered Chef offers different commission rates based on the product categories. Some products may have higher commission percentages than others, which can affect the overall contribution a consultant earns from their sales.

Can I increase my contribution through additional sales strategies?

Absolutely! Consultants can increase their contributions by implementing various sales strategies, such as hosting more parties, upselling products, and engaging with customers through social media. Building strong relationships with guests can also lead to repeat business and referrals.

What happens if my guest cancels their order?

If a guest cancels their order, the contribution from that sale will be deducted from the total sales for the party. This means that the consultant's commission may decrease accordingly, so it's important to maintain clear communication with guests about their orders.
