deb313 said:I use 2 brownie mixes and I put half the batter down, then put two chocolate bars down (big symthony bars). Then I put the rest of the batter down. They are the best brownies on earth. My husband loves them and so does my mom. I use 1 for the medium bar pan and a jiffy mix for the small one. Hope you try this out!![]()

Jiffy mixes are 1/2 size of regular cake mixes. They are hard to find in our area - the only ones I find are the yellow cake. When a recipe calls for the smaller size I either divide the larger one and ziplock half or make 2 of the recipe and freeze one or feed it to my family. If the recipe says chocolate I have used the yellow cake and added cocoa.chefmama said:For those of you that mentioned 1 box of Jiffy mix for the small bar pan, where do you find it??? I have looked at my local Price Chopper grocery store, but they only sell the muffin mix. Any ideas??![]()
Thanks in advance!
To make the Delicious Brownie Recipe for Ice Cream Sandwiches, you will need the following ingredients: unsweetened cocoa powder, all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, melted butter, and a pinch of salt. You can also add chocolate chips or nuts for extra flavor if desired.
The brownies typically need to bake for about 20-25 minutes in the Large Bar Pan at 350°F (175°C). It's important to check for doneness by inserting a toothpick in the center; it should come out with a few moist crumbs but not wet batter.
Yes, you can use a different pan if you don't have a Large Bar Pan. However, baking times may vary depending on the size and material of the pan. If using a smaller pan, check for doneness a few minutes earlier, and if using a larger pan, it may take a bit longer.
After baking, allow the brownies to cool completely in the pan. Once cooled, you can store them in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days or in the refrigerator for up to a week. If you want to keep them longer, consider freezing them.
Any flavor of ice cream can work well for the ice cream sandwiches, but classic flavors like vanilla, chocolate, or cookies and cream are popular choices. You can also experiment with different flavors to match your brownie recipe or personal preferences.
