My niece spent the night last night and we went to Tim Horton's for breakfast. I have a host coaching CD from last NC playing in my car...she was like - what is that and why are you listening to it. I told her I'm just so excited about going to conference, I'm getting a head start.

Rae - share your excitment anytime you want :)

What is Tim Horton's and what are Timbits?!?!?
Tim Horton's is a donut chain that, I think, started in Canada (where my ex is from). I think they are owned by Wendy's, at least in the states. Mostly, I think they're in Michigan & Ohio. I don't know that for sure though.

Timbit's are these lovely little donut holes that are sooo yummy. The cake ones are my fav, but they have different kinds, like honey, raisin, etc. :)

Thanks. It's a great idea that I got from someone before I went to NC in 2005. The hosts who received postcards were flattered that I thought of them while I was away. Brownie points for Rae! It's those personal touches that make for really loyal customers.

I plan to take the info for everyone hosting within 6 weeks of NC.

I'm getting there Wednesday morning (staying at the hilton) to do some sight seeing and SHOPPING with my extended cluster family before we all split up and get crazy on Thursday. What does everyone think of meeting up Wednesday night somewhere for a drink and some kareoke (sp?)? Did we discuss this already? If so, will someone please fill me in as 2 hours of sleep and then 6.5 hours of working a garage sale, 2 hours of a meeting, 2 hours of shopping for bathroom necessities (toilets, tile, etc.) has me fried and not quite comprehending anything that I read, see, hear or do... :o  :o

Many hotel rooms have few convenient electrical outlets. If you're staying 4 to a room, you may want to make sure at least one of you brings along an outlet strip. That way everyone can plug in their cell phone to charge for the night. Also, if the only outlet is under the desk, you'll only have to crawl under there twice (once to plug it in, and once to unplug it) instead of twice a day to plug in and unplug your cell phone.

You might slip a nightlight in, too. You can plug into the outlet strip to help everyone find their way to the potty in the middle of the night.

Where is your suitcase? If you're like me, it's packed away in some deep, dark corner of your attic. You might want to think about getting it out sometime soon. I'll be airing mine out so it doesn't make my clothes smell like, well, a hot, stuffy attic.

Just a tip so your clothes won't smell musty from the suitcase being stored:

Before packing your clothes stick a dryer sheet in the bottom of your suitcase. Once your clothes are in stick another one on top. Your clothes with smell dryer fresh!!:)

You're likely to encounter people in Chicago asking for money. At least, we did the last time I went to NC. I always hesitate to give cash, since I don't know how it will be used. I do like to help people, though.

Someone gave me a great idea. I'll be taking fast food gift certificates with me. There are fast food places everywhere downtown. I can give, knowing it can only be used for food. Plus, I can determine a specific amount before I leave for Chicago. I can give a few of dollars' worth to each one. Once I'm out of certificates, I've given the amount I set aside for those donations.

I am trying to decide if one big suitcase or a smaller one and another duffel bag. We are going to ride the Amtrack up and back. We rode it back before and it was a pain with 2 bags, but one huge one it would be hard dragging that around. I hope we can all meet somewhere. I got my cheffers button at leadership!

Travel can cause, um, digestive issues. While at NC, it would be easy to eat too little fiber and drink too little water. Plan ahead. Take some high-fiber snacks with you. Dried fruit, snack bars, and the like are portable and tasty. Make a conscious effort to drink lots of water. If you're picky about your water, take some of your favorite with you. You'll feel better.

I know there are lots of fun things to do after the evening sessions. Just remember to get plenty of sleep. It's hard to believe, but learning is actually one of the main reasons for NC. It's harder to absorb all that great stuff if you're too tired to listen.

Having said that, Kristin and I have decided that the Sheraton Lounge after the evening session on Thursday, July 12, would be a good time and place to meet up. Everyone is welcome!

Don't forget that on Day 1, there is no evening session. The afternoon session gets out at 6:00, and that's the end of the official stuff for the day for most people (unless people want to check out the product showcase room, which will be open until 7:30).

If you haven't started a packing list, start it soon. It's probably best to make sure it's portable, so you can jot things down as you think of them. Don't overpack, though. How to strike a balance? Why not talk with your roommates. You can probably share some things.

ChefAnn posted this for her buddies in Wave 1. I've, um, borrowed it because it's great advice. Thanks, Ann!

8 mistakes that can spoil any trip
________________________________________

1. Winging it. Know where you're going to stay for at least the first night, especially after a long flight.

2. Packing too much. Limit yourself to one suitcase and one carry-on. Put a change of clothes and your daily medication in the carry-on in case your luggage gets lost.

3. Forgetting essential items. Make a list of things you frequently forget and put it in your empty suitcase.

4. Trying to do too much. Limit the number of activities you plan into each day. Schedule free days for long trips.

5. Trying to get too much work done at the last minute. Spread things out. You'll never have enough time to finish everything the day before you leave.

6. Calling the office too much. This can be a sign of insecurity or trying too hard to control everything. Your boss and co-workers know how to reach you in an emergency, right?

7. Misplacing essential items. Keep boarding passes, identification, passports, trip itineraries, and other documents in one small, easy-to-get-to pouch or bag. Put a bright sticker or ribbon on your luggage to make it stand out.

8. Leaving town without making arrangements to have the mail and newspaper picked up - a sure sign to would-be thieves that your house is empty.

Some of these we have no control over for Conference (like planning too much in one day), but there are some good points in that list

Traveling by air? Photograph your luggage and its contents just before you leave. If it gets lost, you'll have a record for the airline. (And, just being prepared often wards off this type of bad luck. You know, just like carrying an umbrella almost guarantees that it won't rain.)

I just flew down to MD and I HAD TO put my toiletries in a ziploc bag. THey actually took it out of my suitcase and scanned it separately. Also check the guidelines for size (lotion, hairspray, gel, etc...) Mine couldn't be more than 3oz big) I just bought all trial size things and it worked out fine.

Yeah - that's the carry-on restrictions - you can only have 3oz bottles and only as many as can fit in one 1qt ziploc. But I am referring to the stuff you put in your checkec baggage -- I always zip-bag that stuff., too.

Another packing tip: Get a set of "luggage cubes." They're mesh bags that work like mini-suitcases inside your suitcase. They help keep things organized (underwear in one, t's and shorts in another, etc.). They also make it easier for TSA personnel to repack your bag if it's one of the randomly selected bags for searching.

I got a set at ebags.com - a red set for me, black for DH (so if we go on a trip with one suitcase, our things are identifiable from eachother).

Once you get to your hotel room, I know you'll be excited to talk with everyone and get started on the NC fun. Your stay will go much smoother, though, if you take just a few minutes to familiarize yourself with your surroundings. Where are the light switches, and which lights do they control? Where are the AC controls, and how do they work? Where is the emergency exit in relation to your room?

Oh, yeah, and from personal experience, make sure the room's clock radio isn't set to full volume on a mariachi station unless that's really how the people in your room prefer to be awakened.

Traveling by bus? Check to make sure what their boarding procedures are. On many lines there aren't assigned seats, and they tend to overbook. It may be necessary for you to line up for departure as much as an hour before your departure time. You don't want to delay your arrival because you didn't get a seat. Heck, you could miss out on meeting some of your fellow Cheffers.

Once you've arrived at your hotel room, unpack. I know it's tempting to drop your bags and run out to meet all the other consultants and, especially, the other cheffers. However, if you'll take just a few minutes to hang up your clothes, put your toiletries in the bathroom, etc., you'll save yourself time in the long run. Plus, if you're sharing the room, and you're the first one to arrive, you get to stake out prime real estate for yourself. :D

Peanuts? Granola bars? What snack helps keep you going? You might want to bring some along. Oh, I am totally in favor of one to two ounces of dark chocolate per day. That's what's recommended by the AMA, even for diabetics. Those antioxidants are good for you; not to mention the endorphins.

Of course, those benefits tend to be canceled when that chocolate surrounds chewy nougat.

What to pack? Make a plan. You'll need business casual clothing with comfortable shoes for three days of workshops/sessions. You'll need one outfit for your executive banquet. Check with your director to find out what type of dress is expected for yours.

Okay, so now that you know what type of clothes you'll need, make your plan. Plan out each outfit down to the jewelry you'll wear. Can you wear the same shoes for all three business casual outfits? How about the same jewelry? Every decision either takes up more suitcase space or allows you more room.

Think about the toiletries you're going to bring. It can be a good investment to pick up a travel kit. You can get them fairly inexpensively ($5 to $15) at discount stores. They save space and time, since you can move everything into and out of the bathroom easily. Mine will even hang on the towel rod or the hook on the back of the bathroom door, saving precious counter space.

What to make things easiest on yourself while you're trying to get ready in the morning at NC? Pack your clothes in "outfits." Fold all of the clothes (slacks/skirt, top, undies, etc.) that you're planning to wear on a particular day together. Need to hang things up when you arrive? Put everything for that day on the same hanger. No rummaging through your suitcase when it's your turn in the bathroom.

chefann
06-16-2007, 09:56 AM
Can I post a related tip? There often aren't enough hangers in the room, especially if you've got 4 people sharing. Pack a couple in your bag, and you'll decrease the problem. Just remember to take them with you when you leave Chicago.

raebates

When you're ready to come home, remember that a bag of balled up dirty laundry takes up more room than neatly folded laundry. I know it sounds weird, but fold your dirty laundry before you put it in your laundry bag. It will make it easier to get that bag zipped before you leave.

Label each piece of your luggage, both inside and out, with your name and phone number, but not your home address. If an address is required by your transportation, try not to use your home address. Use your office address, a post office, etc., if possible. Flying? Don't forget to remove old claim checks to avoid confusion. After all, you may want to return to your last vacation spot, but do you really want your luggage to return before you do?

I'm looking forward to meeting lots of you guys, too. One of the neat things about doing this thread is that I've also learned some good ideas that I've been able to pass along to a good buddy. She leaves in early July for Romania to work with orphans for a few weeks.

Ooooo, Rae!! One of my recruits is related to a Romanian girl. She has told me about how her own parents have gone over there, doing missionary work. In fact, I believe that's how they met. Anyway, it's either her brother or nephew that ended up MARRYING this girl, and brought her over here. They live down in Texas.

When her parents went, her mom wanted to take some small little products over there, to "bless" some of the women in the local churches. It is a very poor country, as I understood, so they are very appreciative of even the smallest gesture like this.

I don't remember what else she took, but I know there were lots of vegetable peelers! (Thought I'd pass this along, in case your friend wants to do something similar!!)

I had a show for a woman who was going to an orphanage someplace in eastern Europe. She used her FPV for lots of little things to take to them.

Be sure to wear comfy shoes when you travel to and from NC. Flying? Right now ALL footwear must be removed for x-ray screening. Shoes that slip off and on easily will save time and frustration. Well, at least some of the frustration.
Well I am all set with my shoes! I bought some Crocs today finally. The Beach style in Khaki.

Paula and Ann, my friend is taking stuff to the girls. She'll be working with two different groups. One is little girls (think early elementary age). The other is girls in transition. In other words, they're getting ready to turn 18, which means they will lose their home soon. She's been asked to collect and take with her personal items, especially for the older girls--lotions, nail polish, and other girly stuff. She's also taking underwear for both groups.

My favorite new story is that she lost her underwear at church. She had her suitcase out on display, and that's where church members could donate new, still-in-the-package undies. She went to church a couple of weeks ago, and it was missing. She went to the woman at the information desk (she attends a large church) and asked, "Do you know what happened to my underwear?"

The woman gave her a look that indicated that, no, she didn't know what happened to her underwear. She started laughing and explained. She had to ask three other people before finding out that it had been moved due to a wedding the day before. I still giggle when I think about her searching the church for her underwear. I guess you can understand why we're good friends.

Rae - Steve and I have a fellow missionary family (supported by our same home church) that is a Pastor in Romania. He was born there, studied here then went back to serve his people. He has quite the story and quite the battles with government off and on but it is better than the struggles with religion in China. If you want, I can look up what city he is in...just let me know - PM me...the orphanage your friend is going to may already know him.

Now that you've been reminded to pack everything tightly, don't waste any hidden space. Tuck things into your shoes, into the corners of your suitcase, etc. These are great places for socks, undies, jewelry, etc.

It's nice because you don't always have the luxury of carrying an additional bag on the way home. This way, I can just open up the zipper, and pack a heck of a lot more in the suitcase. :)

Like mini catalogs, etc. (Which you can ship home in a surprise package, BTW)

Do you think Fed-Ex will be on site to ship like UPS was? That was so great not to have to lug those 18 boxes of cake mix home! (yep - I was wave 3 - by that time it was a free-for-all with the cakes - "Take as many as you want")

What not to take is as important as what to take. Leave the family heirlooms at home. While your hotel should be secure, theft does happen. If it's an irreplaceable piece of family history, you may want to rethink bringing it along. If you're being recognized for a special achievement, and you really want to wear great aunt Bertha's brooch, ask about the hotel safe.

Make sure of the carry-on rules. I don't know about buses, but airlines have strict carry-on policies. You don't want to have to leave things you've carefully packed behind. Contact your airline (or bus company) for their rules. Don't forget that the Transportation Security Administration has some rules in place, too. Questions? Get the answers at www.tsa.gov or 866-289-9673.

Okay, so you have your list done. Gather together the clothes you're planning to take. Check each one carefully.

Does anything need a good cleaning? Check carefully for spots and stains.

Is everything in good repair? Check for dropped hems, hanging threads, and seams in need of repair.

Do you have everything you need to complete each outfit? Don't forget any special undergarments (slips, strapless bras, etc.). [Sorry guys. I'd include any special undergarments for you men, but I just keep picturing KG and Jason in strapless bras. :o ]

You don't want to be at NC, in the process of getting ready, and realize that you've forgotten something or that something needs cleaning or repair.

While you're checking all of your clothing to make sure it's clean and in good repair, why not see if you can eliminate an item or two. Instead of bringing two or three different pairs of shoes, will one pair of shoes work for everything? If you're bringing sweaters or jackets in case the rooms are chilly, do you have one that will work for all three days? Remember, the less you take with you, the more room you'll have to bring stuff back.

Don’t arrive at NC all frazzled. Take a good look at your schedule leading up to your departure. Have you made a realistic schedule? Be honest. Can you really get everything done in the time allotted without driving yourself insane? If not, be ruthless. Eliminate. Delegate. Do whatever it takes to make sure you get some rest and a little time with your family before you leave. You’ll get more out of NC if you aren’t exhausted.

OMG! Only two weeks to go!

Here’s a great idea from Julie Weitz. Take three index cards with you to each workshop. Label one “Wow! Do it now!” Label the second “Great idea! Do it soon!” Lab el the third “Think about this.” When you’re sitting in a workshop and they give you a great idea, write it down on one of the cards. This will make it easier to implement the ideas once you get back home.

Kristi had a great idea. She’s making a care package to leave behind for her family. Now, The Furry Guy is used to being on his own, so a pan of mac & cheese and a few phone calls to touch base while I’m gone will be just fine for him. However, if you have young children at home (or a spouse who’s not used to being on his or her own), a few treats could help them deal with your absence and may make them more willing to let you go next time.

I know that I keep harping on the “pack light” thing. Now I’m going to tell you to bring something extra—a small first aid kit. A blister, a headache, or an upset tummy can really make it difficult to enjoy NC. If possible, make it something small you can carry with you during the day. A few Band-Aids, some aspirin, and some tummy tablets are well worth the space they take up.

Definitely BAND-AIDS! I wear the same shoes all the time and for some reason, all the walking at conference last year caused them to give me blisters! I always have band-aids and tylenol and am a very popular person there! If you need some, look for me!

I second that small 1st aid kit... I brought blister bandaids, tylenol, kleenix and snacks with me each day last year and every day I had multiple people need something. Today is 7/5/07.

Days until the start of Wave 2: 7.

Only one week! Don’t forget to take address labels with you. Some speakers will have handouts. Sometimes they run low. You’ll want to make sure they have your address, and a sheet of address labels is easy to carry and use. You can make things even easier by bringing a few self-addressed envelopes. That way you can just write what you want them to send on the back.

On the snoring issue... my friends tell me the breath right strips work wonders... my husband uses them and he's been known to slap one on my nose in the middle of the night if I "happen" to be snoring myself. That was NOT my dream fantasy of having him awaken me but he sure did sleep better! :)

Yep, but the joke around here is that at age 40, I'll be pregnant again (you know those 1 in XXXX cases where the surgery reverses itself, etc.)

But if that happens, guess it is time for one more...

Until then, yes, stress free...I developed an allergy to latex about 4 years ago so this works MUCH better.

I thought I had DH convinced to have the "snip snip" done, but then a friend of ours had it done and ended up with a seriously bad infection - actually in bed for 3-4 days on very heavy duty antibiotics.........now he's (DH) being a baby about
the procedure.

My DH had it done with very little complaints, just babied him for a weekend...

It isn't bad he said. I said, "I had the kids - your turn!". ...and being the normal guy who wants his needs met, he was willing to comply...

My hubby had a very easy go of it. No infection at all. Justvery tired right after it happened. Said it felt like the feeling after someone kicks/hits them hard in that area, just lingering for a long time and without the air being taken out of you.

I of course asked him what exactly he did that warrented him being kicked in that area at some point in time :P

If this helps your husbands: He had it done last year -- on the Friday before memorial day, then was off Friday-Monday and was back at work Tuesday. By Saturday evening he said he was feeling fine though. Tells me he was very glad he did it.

Just like Kindergarten all over again!

My best friend (Still to this day!) and I were supposed to be in the same class - and our mothers went to the school and had us separated - they thought we would be too much trouble for 1 teacher to handle! OUR OWN MOTHERS!

In 13 years of school, we were never in the same class or home-room! It was a conspiracy against us!

BTW, The Furry Guy had his little snip, snip years ago. His theory was that $300/outpatient procedure vs $3,000/hospital stay was a no-brainer. He had no trouble, and we've been very pleased with the results. :)

We (lol, my DH!) had the procedure done on Dec. 21 last year. He was even up & going for Christmas eve service! Haven't had any troubles at all. Just make sure that your dh (whoever decides to have it done) goes for the 3 month checkup. :)

Hey Guys. I know it's been awhile since I've been on here. I just thought I'd share with ya some info my dirt got from another dirt who's at confrerence NOW! Enjoy (BTW, she can be a little flighty....:P):

OH MY GOSH > > > MY GOOD FRIEND BETH called tonight from Chicago . . . Stinker was sitting at the Cheesecake factory about to explode she said. The Directors lunch was not a simple sandwich or salad, it was a full blown full dinner with salad, entree, veggie, potato and dessert!

- but she didn't spill the beans to much!

OH MY GOSH< I can't wait till Thursday! Make sure to take your cameras on the home office tour & GO WITH A POSITIVE ATTITUDE that you'll win, win, win the drawing! . . . They will not be doing the 2 tickets per bus for the running to grab the products - darn what the heck is that called!!!

BUT due to remodeling the warehouse, there is a Plexiglass box you will get into with an apron on, when YOUR Name is drawn and YOU"LL grab papers out of the air worth $ for products, I hear up to $4000-5000 to stuff in your pocket!!!! AND there is a GOLDEN ticket worth a huge fanominal prize!!!

There are ____ new products with ___ of them being restyled and she said even the restyled ones are amazing!

OH and Merrill has some very reasonal stuff . . . Basic tshirts $9.95
Lilac with white lettering
Red with White
Black with white

Have some Flip flops that are black w/pink writing (I guess they had some flip flops before, but I don't remember them, so you'll want to get to Merrill the 1st chance you have.) They open at 6 or 6:30 I think.

Said they got in on Megabus fine on Sudnay, checked in, caught the trolley to last day of Taste of Chicago and then so hot they came back, got in pool and relaxed, then went out for dinner - walked down to Navy Pier.

Ear candling is a way to remove extra wax from your ear canal. It's basically rolled up parchment paper. I think it's sealed with wax or paraffin. It's shaped like a candle, with one end flat and the other pointed. My aesthetician (fancy word for person who helps you look and feel good) places the pointy end in my ear then lights the other end on fire. The capillary action (what draws the oil up through the wick of an oil candle) draws the wax from my ear into the paper. She does two candles in each ear.

Usually I have it done every six months or so. I had it done last month, but it had been over a year before that. I won't gross everyone out by explaining why, but she suggested I come back this month.

My cousin pointed out that I could save money by having The Furry Guy do it. You can purchase the candles in health food stores. However, my aesthetician dims the lights, has soft music playing, massages my face, and gives me water and a mint as I leave. I love The Furry Guy, but it just wouldn't be the same. ;)

However, my aesthetician dims the lights, has soft music playing, massages my face, and gives me water and a mint as I leave. I love The Furry Guy, but it just wouldn't be the same. ;)

Ummm......I don't think I would like that much.:o

It's actually not bad. My DH heard about that from people at work & bought some candles at a health food store. I did it for him. It's actually pretty cool--if you don't get grossed out by earwax! He's done it for me once or twice, but it does feel weird the first time you do it! But it doesn't hurt or anything.

I know how you feel! I am so excited!!!!! I think I'm even more excited this year than last, which was my first conference. I can't wait to find out the new products. Plus I'm really looking forward to some great training! I'm really excited for when I come back. I have 2 shows next week & one the week after that. My first shows back last year had the greatest sales & bookings--and they were 2 weeks after conference b/c I went on vacation. I can't imagine how great they'll be RIGHT AFTER I get back & am still so excited.

I am really glad that you can choose 2 of the new fall products for August's special. Then I don't have to hide that excitement for the fall season until September!

This is my second conference as well (went in 2004) and I am sooooooooo much more excited too! I think I was excited last time, but nervousness won out! I am a "planner" so doing something totally new really freaks me out. This time, I know mostly what to expect, so my nerves aren't quite so bad.

Plus, the three ladies I am driving with and rooming with I love to pieces, so I know I will have a great time along with all of the things I will be learning for my business!

Oh Terra, you're going to be hanging out half the day without us. :(

We're leaving here about 8:30 - won't hit Chicago until about dinnertime with our stops.

GourmetGirl

Janet, you can so do it! The only reason I am so organized is when I was putting off making booking calls on Sunday I got my house almost perfect, then last night did almost everything else (scrubbing, vacuuming, garbage, etc). However I did make those calls and made 17 of them before our pre-conference party! I got one august booking a few call when I get back from conference, 2 no thank you's, but invite me to your mystery host and a lot of answering machines...

Now I am off to shower... as much as I don't wanna go to work, I so need to as I don't have to go the rest of the week (yipee!!!)... and I'll probably only be a 1/2 hour late (of all things in the next 24 hours to be late for, I'll take work) :)

I am leaving today at 6ish to head about an hour west of my house to spend the night at my moms and then I will be picked up there tomorrow morning. I have got my pillow gifts done for the family and just about everything else except packing. For some reason I just don't want to pack. I think it cause I can't decide what to take and just hoped it would end up in my suitcase. I am going to finish lunch then go pack!!!

Wow! You've all been busy!

The ear candling is amazingly soothing, especially with the facial massage. You hear something that sounds like a crackling fire. My ears aren't itchy. It's great.

Between that and the mani/pedi I got, complete with massage chair, I am feeling fabulously pampered and relaxed.

Welcome back everyone! I landed about 5 hours ago after a horribly bumpy flight and am about ready to pass out, but of course had to come back on here first. I am so glad I got to meet so many of you!!! My favorite memory is of seeing Rae on the 1st day up on stage in the workshop and realizing, "omgoodness, I know her... that's raebates!" It was so much fun to go to conference and actually know and recognize people! For those of you that missed the MnG, I hope you can make it next year... lots of fun and we will all have to post our pics (as long as there isn't any bad ones of me that is :D) carolyn... did your kids get their luggage yet?

Just to clarify, I wasn't leading a workshop or anything like Carolyn. I was simply a volunteer cast as the devil. I fluctuate between thinking I was cast against type and realizing that I was most likely type-cast.

oh, yeah, and it was hysterical to see the looks on people's faces when, after the workshop, someone walked up to me and said, "Are you Rae Bates? I'm YummyBites!"

It sounds like a strange stripper/porn star name or something.

That was awesome though.

GourmetGirl

Jenn~ just wait until you get your stripper star to go along with your stripper name! I got funny looks from my cluster when people would come up to me and say "you're gourmet girl!" and then when I told them about my stripper star... I have set it my goal to really work my business and be able to not work full time come spring, so that I can go to grad school full time and do PC full time as well. Hopefully with this as my goal, I will prove my upline and cluster wrong about message boards as they will see I can balance work, grad school, pc and being on the message boards! with this said, I am taking my tired behind (who has only been up for 8 hours actually!) back to bed, so I can try to go to office max and office depot before work in the morning... gotta love school supply season!! wahoo!

I consider that feeling to be Conference Hangover. I was dragging on Sunday, but I'm ready to hit the ground running today! I've got a lot of ideas to implement. :)

Well Rae...my tired behind didn't actually fall asleep until 3:30am... and then I was at work at 9:30 this morning... low and behold I am now in the process of losing my voice with a very sore throat... I left work early and am not about to go grab a nap... I had planned to make some calls this evening and would like a voice, as I need to work for the money this week and I have a show on Thursday (I spend my day on the phone at work, so no voice = no work). I quite like the term conference hangover however... very nice.

Also, after lots of thinking, playing around with numbers and looking at life, I have made a plan for myself... attached is the flyer I have hung up throughout my house... My plan is based on the 7,000 points I currently have and is for August - December... you may have to change it for your points/situation...
