I am hosting a mystery host party at my home the end of the month. I am a bit nervous. Any suggestions? I am hoping that everyone will have a ton of fun and in turn want to book a show. I would appreciate any advice. Thanks yall!

Don't be nervous - holding a Mystery Host show at home is great. Just make sure everyone you invite realises that they could win all the host benefits without having to clean-up or buy in the ingredients. Make a big deal of it on the invites. People who can't come will still want to give you an order if they have a chance to win freebies. PC is still very new in UK, and I found this was a good way of getting people to come to a show for the first time. It's tough sometimes when people have not heard of the products. I would suggest dressing up the house a little with big ? on coloured paper as posters on the walls. If it's a very well attended show, you might want to offer a couple of smaller runner up prizes as well as the main host benefits. I chose the winner by drawing the survey slips out of a hat - and I put one in for each of the outside orders I received, and I made sure I drew it while everyone was there then they didn't think it was a fix.

I hope it's a good one for you.

Thanks for the great suggestionsI would never have thought to put up posters with "?" on them I like that. I have a couple of items like the lemon scraper, a garlic press, and kitchen brush that I thought I would use for my door prize and gift for the game we play, and then maybe pull a first runner up. Thanks for the suggestions. :)

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a theme show and how does it work?

A theme show is a fun and engaging way to showcase specific products or recipes during a Pampered Chef party. Each theme focuses on a particular cooking style, occasion, or type of cuisine, allowing guests to learn new techniques and enjoy delicious samples. As the host, you will guide the event, demonstrating products and sharing tips that align with the chosen theme.

How do I choose the right theme for my first show?

Consider your audience and what they might enjoy. Popular themes include "Quick and Easy Meals," "Healthy Cooking," or "Baking Basics." Think about your own interests and skills in the kitchen, as well as any seasonal events or holidays that could inspire your theme. You can also ask your guests for their preferences to ensure everyone is excited about the event.

What should I prepare for my first theme show?

Prepare a menu that aligns with your chosen theme, including recipes that highlight Pampered Chef products. Gather all necessary ingredients and tools ahead of time. Additionally, create a list of talking points to cover during the show, such as product features, cooking tips, and how to place orders. Practice your presentation to feel more confident on the day of the event.

How can I promote my theme show to get more guests?

Utilize social media, email invitations, and personal outreach to invite friends and family. Create excitement by sharing sneak peeks of the recipes or products you’ll be showcasing. Consider offering incentives, such as a small prize for the guest who brings the most friends or a special discount for attendees who place orders during the show.

What should I do if I feel nervous about hosting my first show?

Feeling nervous is completely normal! Prepare as much as possible by practicing your presentation and familiarizing yourself with the products. Remember that your guests are there to have fun and learn, not to judge you. Focus on creating a welcoming atmosphere, and don’t hesitate to ask for help from your Pampered Chef director or fellow consultants if you need support.
