I have just got a booking with a host who is on the GI diet - and so are a lot of her friends. She wants a savoury recipe at her show and NO PASTRY!
Is anyone familiar with the diet and have you any PC friendly recipes I could try? I know this is about the products not the food, but the host is always right, right?
Cheers
Yvonne

Thanks for that Erin, will certainly have a look and see if anything could be done for a show to highlight our products.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Gi Diet?

The Gi Diet, or Glycemic Index Diet, focuses on the glycemic index of foods, which measures how quickly carbohydrates in food raise blood sugar levels. The diet encourages the consumption of low-GI foods that provide sustained energy and help control hunger.

How does the Gi Diet work?

The Gi Diet works by promoting foods that have a low glycemic index, which means they are digested and absorbed more slowly, leading to a gradual rise in blood sugar levels. This helps maintain energy levels and reduces cravings, making it easier to manage weight.

What foods are recommended on the Gi Diet?

Recommended foods on the Gi Diet include whole grains, legumes, fruits, vegetables, nuts, and seeds. These foods typically have a low glycemic index and are rich in fiber, vitamins, and minerals, contributing to overall health.

Are there any foods to avoid on the Gi Diet?

Foods to avoid on the Gi Diet include those with a high glycemic index, such as white bread, sugary snacks, and processed foods. These items can cause rapid spikes in blood sugar levels and may lead to increased hunger and cravings.

Can the Gi Diet help with weight loss?

Yes, the Gi Diet can help with weight loss by promoting the consumption of low-GI foods that keep you feeling full longer and stabilize blood sugar levels. This can lead to reduced calorie intake and healthier eating habits over time.
