If your school is having a bake sale type thing, here is an idea you can use!!

Take the Cake Tester and put Gummy Worms and other such things on it (like a skewer)...and you have a candy shish-kabob!!

Not only are you the hero of the class moms...because you had this brilliant idea..!! But also, attach your business card (use one-hole punch) with a tiny ribbon....and you have inexpensive advertising!!!

Or...you can even "donate" and sell them as they are..place them in a sturdy glass....remember to attach your business card!!

:O)

...What do you think???

You wouldnt even have to go to the trouble of punching the hole and tying the ribbon. At the top of the cake tester is a round part that splits...put your business card in that slot! :)

It would be cute to make one of thos dirt cakes with the gummy worms in it and then put one of those gummy worm skewers in it. :)

Just think of all the multiple uses for that little cake tester!! I use mine a lot for the polymer clay crafts that I do (so tiny for the details!!)...I'm sure the uses for it are endless!

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a cake tester and how does it work?

A cake tester is a thin, pointed tool used to check the doneness of baked goods, particularly cakes. When inserted into the center of a cake, if it comes out clean or with a few crumbs attached, the cake is done. If it comes out with wet batter, the cake needs more time to bake.

How can I use a cake tester for a bake sale?

Using a cake tester is essential for ensuring that your baked goods are perfectly cooked before selling them at a bake sale. By testing each item, you can guarantee that your cakes, muffins, and other baked treats are moist and delicious, which will help attract more customers and increase sales.

What are some creative bake sale ideas involving cake testers?

You can create a themed bake sale where each item is tested with a cake tester and labeled with fun names like "Tester Approved" or "Perfectly Baked." Additionally, consider offering a "Cake Tester Challenge," where customers can guess the baking time of different treats based on their appearance, with a prize for the closest guess.

Can I use a cake tester for other baked goods besides cakes?

Yes, a cake tester is versatile and can be used for various baked goods, including brownies, muffins, and quick breads. It's a helpful tool for checking the doneness of any item that needs to be baked through, ensuring that they are all perfectly cooked before serving or selling.

Where can I purchase a cake tester for my bake sale?

Cake testers can be found at most kitchen supply stores, online retailers, or through direct sales companies like Pampered Chef. They are typically affordable and can be a great addition to your baking tools, especially if you plan to host bake sales regularly.
