Hello everyone! Does anyone have a picture of a Barbie cake they made in the classic batter bowl? I am a visual person and would like to make one for my daughter's upcoming Birthday! Thanks!:o

If you do a search on barbie in the files section you will find 2 different pictures of the barbie cake. HTH

I made one for my daughter's b-day this month; but forgot my digital camera! My dad too a pic; I can see if he can email it to me...

I made that bride cake above and it's actually the recipe for the Baked Alaska Cake with the doll stuck in it. :) Just this past weekend it was my daughter's 2nd birthday so I made a barbie cake for that. There is a recipe for it in one of the cookbooks (the Celebrate one??) and that comes with the Classic Batter Bowl, but I think it the Baked Alaska cake is easier. I'll try to attach a picture of the cake I just made this weekend. It was a hit!!!

Bummer, I can't attach it...it's too big and I don't know how to shrink it. If anyone would like to see it, feel free to email me and I can send it in an email.

That is a cool one! I never thought about putting it on another cake as a pedistal!!

here are some of the barbie cakes that I have collected over the years

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a Barbie cake, and how can I incorporate Pampered Chef products into making one?

A Barbie cake is a fun and creative cake designed to resemble a Barbie doll, typically featuring a doll inserted into the center of a cake that forms the dress. You can use Pampered Chef products like the Classic Batter Bowl for mixing your cake batter, the Flower Power Cake Pan to create the dress shape, and the Easy Accent Decorator for adding beautiful frosting details.

What types of cake recipes work best for a Barbie cake?

For a Barbie cake, you can use any cake recipe that holds its shape well, such as a pound cake or a dense vanilla cake. These types of cakes are less likely to crumble when you insert the Barbie doll. You can also experiment with flavors like chocolate or red velvet for a fun twist!

How can I decorate my Barbie cake using Pampered Chef tools?

You can use the Decorating Bag Set to pipe frosting and create intricate designs on your Barbie cake. The Small Spreader is great for smoothing out frosting, while the Cut-N-Seal can be used to create fun shapes with fondant or marzipan for added decorations. Don't forget to use the Measuring Cups for precise ingredient measurements!

Can I make a gluten-free Barbie cake using Pampered Chef products?

Absolutely! You can make a gluten-free Barbie cake by using gluten-free flour blends in your favorite cake recipe. Pampered Chef's Classic Batter Bowl is perfect for mixing your gluten-free batter, and the Stoneware Bakeware ensures even baking for a moist cake. Just be sure to check that all your ingredients are gluten-free!

What are some creative ideas for Barbie cake themes?

There are countless themes you can explore for your Barbie cake! Consider themes like a princess, mermaid, or even a favorite movie character. You can use colored frosting, edible glitter, and themed decorations to enhance your cake. Pampered Chef's Silicone Baking Molds can help you create themed cake toppers that match your chosen theme!
