Admins can't see who is on any iggy lists. Or who's surfing in stealth mode. (At least, they can't using the forum software DH uses for his forum.) One of the nosy guys on that forum wanted DH to tell him who was online as "hidden" one day, because he couldn't stand not knowing who it was. DH had no way to know.

Go to User CP > Edit Options. The top one is "Use invisible mode." It might only be available to Gold supporters.

I am SO refraining from making the comment I'd like to make about my cheapness being due to my family's religious...oh forget it, I'd be opening up a whole can 'o worms. Let's just say, I am not a gold member because I come from a family that wears painfully cheap shoes.

In that case, I don't see much point in holding a conference. Let's just all get together in, like, Kansas or someplace in the middle, and spend conference registration money on, um, adult beverages instead.

ETA: OK, so when I was reading the above quoted post from Ann I didn't realize there were 2 more pages of frivolity and by the time I finished adding this comment it would no longer be relevant.

Crap. Now I know why people ignore me......

But, Jean, if you don't post a picture of you right-side-up, how will we ever know it is you?

I just noticed the number of postings and clicked open to read through all this. Guess I need to spend more time here; I keep missing the fun threads! (These are much better than the 'wacky' ones.)

I have a notebook computer, so I can turn it upside down and see her!

(Well, I know the rest of you can see her too, but I don't have to stand on my head to do it!!)

Lacy, I'm driving to Colorado with my parents at the end of March. Can we stop in? :D My sister and her 3 kids will be with us, too.

Hmmm, road trip with the whole family......that sounds like fun!

Actually, we did that one summer with DH's family - minus the grandparents. SIL & BIL were living in Durango, and were here for a vacation. So, we caravaned with their family, and DH's Brother & SIL, and their family. It was actually a lot of fun. That was pre-child for us, and we always talk about going back out there with him.

My sister in Colorado also has 3 kids, so there will be 6 there after we arrive. Yikes! Now I'm just figuring out how to call in to my Step Up to Director classes when on the road - and I'm not going to have a real chance to work my business out there, either.

Hey- these are the nieces and nephew. Pic from September, so they're all a little older now.

I refer you to the picture above. Do any of those children look normal?

(I'm kidding! Don't anyone think that I'm calling my nieces and nephew freaks or anything!)

Now I know why Ann really doesn't want to have kids. That many nieces and nephews running around at once and you're glad to send them home. :p

My cousin, who is now 23, was the first male on my maternal grandmother's side of the family (including offspring of her siblings) in 67 years. The next boy was the one in that pic, who is going on 2. (He had heart surgery when he was a couple of days old.)

Ann, I just took a look at that picture again, are they all girls, except for the boy on his Dad's lap? The one beside him, I wasn't sure! Hey ~ they're little kids, I can't tell! When my boy was a little one, people use to tell me he was pretty all the time.... that went over well with my hubby.... being the super masculine type!

Here's the low-down on the kids in the pic:
on top of the couch: Kit (or Katie, or Kate, or Catherine, it depends on her mood), 8, belongs to Becky (my Twin)
    On couch, left to right:
Scott (my BIL, married to Erica)
    Owen, 2, Erica's youngest
    Stephanie, 4, Becky's youngest
    Olivia, 5, Erica's oldest
Victoria, 10, Becky's oldest (and spitting image)
    Sophia, 3, Erica's middle child

That's part of the reason we're going in 2 cars, and taking 2 days. Plus one day each way to get from Detroit to Milwaukee. I plan on getting a lot of crocheting done in the car.

Edited to add the pic for ease of reference.

There's a movie you need to see...RV...from 2006 with Robin Williams, Jeff Daniels and Kristin Chenoweth.

    Check it out...

I don't even want to go there, because my parents aren't technically taking a car, they're going in their small RV. It's easier for potty stops, etc. with the kids. As long as I have a place to sit and crochet (and call in to my Step up to Director calls), I'll be OK.

I just have to say one of my best vacations was with my entire family. We did a 5 day canoe trip together. One of the first family vacations we have really all been together on. My dad and baby brother, my little brother, my sister, her husband and three of their children and then myself. It was a blast. We all caravaned to Northern Minnesota in my sister's huge van. It was a fun trip! Cannot wait to go again. The only people who stayed home where DH and stepmom they just aren't nature people. And my older brother and his family live in Texas.
