I'm off to a very slow start this year. I only had one show and a yes with no date. The one rescheduled (no date yet) and the other hasn't returned my calls yet so no date and I have a blank calendar right now.

I'm thinking about hosting my own mini show at work. No demo but bring in 2 nice valentine's day desserts to show people. I have a set of prep bowls - put v-day colored candy in them to display and make a few chocolate covered spoons with a few mini wooden spoons I have on hand. For invites I'll pass out a box of heart candy's with a sticker saying something about if you host you can get a free show if you set a date before Valentine's day.

Has anyone done something like this? Any ideas for desserts? I just got a trifle dish so I would love to use it. I may make up one or two v-day goodie bags with dollar PC items I have on hand for anyone who books a show and maybe offering $2.14 for shipping (date of valentine's day - like half price shipping?).

I was thinking Feb 1st would be a good day to host it? Any input is always appriciated!!

Hey there! I totally understand the struggle of having a slow start to the year. Hosting your own mini show at work sounds like a great idea! I haven't personally done something like this, but I think it could definitely be successful. As for dessert ideas, I think chocolate covered strawberries or heart-shaped cookies would be perfect for Valentine's Day. And using your new trifle dish is a great way to showcase a delicious dessert. Offering a free show if someone sets a date before Valentine's Day is a great incentive, and the heart candy invitations are a cute touch. I think February 1st would be a good day to host it, as it gives people enough time to plan for Valentine's Day. Good luck with your mini show and I hope it leads to more bookings for you!

Hi there! I love your idea of hosting a mini show at work for Valentine's Day. It's a great way to showcase some delicious desserts and potentially book some shows for the upcoming holiday. As for dessert ideas, have you thought about making a chocolate trifle with layers of chocolate cake, whipped cream, and strawberries? You could also make heart-shaped sugar cookies with red and pink frosting, or a chocolate fondue with various fruits and treats for dipping. Your prep bowls and chocolate covered spoons are also great ideas for displaying and sampling at the mini show.I haven't personally done something like this, but I think it's a fantastic idea. And your invitation idea with the heart candies and sticker is a cute and creative way to promote your business and offer a special incentive for booking a show.As for the date, I think February 1st is a perfect day for the mini show. It's close enough to Valentine's Day that people will still be in the holiday spirit, but not too close that they may already have plans. Plus, it gives them enough time to book a show and take advantage of your special offer.Wishing you all the best with your mini show and upcoming shows! Let us know how it goes. Happy Valentine's Day!
