Using the Grill Pan Instead of the Skillet

In summary, the grill pan can be used on both gas and electric stoves and is safe to use with metal utensils. It is recommended to hand wash the pan and it is also oven safe up to 450°F. The grill pan is versatile and suitable for cooking a variety of foods including meats, vegetables, and fruits.

Do you think that the Skillet Cake recipe would work in the Grill Pan?

I am wanting to do something with the cookware at my shows and the only thing I have so far is the grill pan.

I think it could. They're made up of the same materials and I think both are safe up to 400*. I love my grill pan. I use it to grill fruit, make quesadillas, grilled sandwiches, fish, grilled pizza....there are so many things you can do with it. I especially like doing the pizza for my family. I get the mini pepperoni and premise pizza dough and cut my daughters into a heart with a cookie cutter

Another dessert idea is to slice pound cake and butter it and grill it, then serve with fruit or drizzle one of the dessert sauces on it.
