Super Bowl Party.. Please Help!

In summary, some ideas for incorporating a Super Bowl theme into your party include having a cook-off competition, creating a "snack stadium," having a "halftime show," setting up a betting pool, playing football-themed games, having a themed photo booth, creating a signature drink, and having designated "commercial breaks" during the game.

I am really stumped and need your help:confused:! In a week, I have a party scheduled. There are approximately 15 people coming and I would really like to play off of the "Super Bowl". So, I was thinking of putting the guests in two teams to make two different dishes. However, what should I do next? It really can't be a race in case the two recipes are completely different...
Any ideas?

Thank you so much for your help?:chef:

You can still do a race, even with the two recipes being different. All my races are made up of different recipes. Most recently we did the sw meatloaf and taffy apple tartlets.. Just look at the recipes and the time it takes for each one. I've stayed away from recipes that call for cooking (or nuking) in the middle of the recipe for races.Good luck!

Here are some ideas for incorporating a Super Bowl theme into your party:1. Have a cook-off competition: Divide your guests into two teams and have them compete to create the best Super Bowl-inspired dish. Each team can choose their own recipe, but it must be related to football or game day food. Have a panel of judges (or all the guests) taste and vote on the winning dish.2. Create a "snack stadium": Instead of having a traditional buffet or potluck, have each guest bring a dish that represents a different part of a football stadium. For example, someone can bring "hot dog" pigs in a blanket for the players' tunnel, chips and dip for the field, and cupcakes with football decorations for the end zone.3. Have a "halftime show": During the middle of the party, have a designated time where guests can showcase their talents, whether it's singing, dancing, or telling jokes. This can add some entertainment and break up the party in between eating and socializing.4. Set up a betting pool: Create a grid with squares and have guests bet on different aspects of the game, such as the final score, the first team to score, or who will win MVP. The winner can get a prize or a portion of the pot can be donated to a charity.5. Play football-themed games: Set up a mini football toss game or have a trivia game about the Super Bowl and football in general. This can be a fun way to get everyone involved and break the ice.6. Have a themed photo booth: Set up a backdrop with props and have guests take pictures with their team's colors or football-themed props. This can be a fun way to capture memories and add to the party atmosphere.7. Create a signature drink: Come up with a signature cocktail or mocktail for the party and serve it in a football-shaped punch bowl or with team-colored garnishes. You can also have guests vote on their favorite drink at the end of the party.8. Have a "commercial break": During the actual Super Bowl game, have designated breaks where guests can watch and discuss the commercials. This can be a fun way to incorporate the game into the party and give guests a break from socializing.Hope these ideas help and have a great party!
