Suggestions for "Jazzing Up" Cluster Meetings

In summary, Brenda suggests that the energy in their cluster meetings is lacking and that it may be due to the lack of recognition given to the directors and consultants. She also suggests that they do a recognition event every month and try different games out during the meeting to keep the energy up.

Hey all,
I'm wondering what you do in your cluster meetings that keeps the energy going? Our cluster meetings here seem to lack the enthusiasm that I feel I need to keep my forward momentum. Our Senior Director has asked us for suggestions in what we want for the meetings and I was the only one out of 7 that suggested anything. Everyone else just kind of stared into space. :indif: I'm almost to a point where I want to find a different group to meet with.

I appreciate any and all suggestions!

Brenda,
Do you do any recognition? We do a round of "toot your own horn" at every meeting. We have an actual bike horn that we pass around. It might sound "corny" but it's great recognition and motivation for others to hear how each are doing. It doesn't even have to be about PC...because sometimes other things in our lives lead to bettering our business. We also use the clapping hands during our sales recognition which helps living up and get people going. We do mock cooking demos quite often so that people that are new see how it's done, or some that have been doing it a bit longer might get some new ideas. Our meetings are always helpful and I think it's because everyone seems to participate and add something to the meetings. Not sure this helped, but it seems to be working for us!!

We do have a recognition. Our Senior Director recognizes our top consultants and gives them ribbons. We used the clapping hands at one meeting which I thought was fun, but it drove the dogs nuts! :) In March we're going to have the Parade of Recipes where we all have selected a recipe from the new Seasons Best and we all will give feedback on if we think it is a good demo recipe, etc. Are you suggesting that one person volunteers to make it seem like a cooking show? I think that would be pretty cool.

Brenda,
We've done it several times. Everyone does their shows different and it gives the group more ideas that they can try to get booking, recruiting and specials in their talk. We don't do it every month or even every other, but enough so that new consultants get to see how a show would go. We also try different games (a lot suggested on here) out during our meeting to see how they would work before doing in front of all the people at a show. Our leader also asks us monthly what areas we'd like to touch on so that if someone is struggling in a certain area, we can help them out.

There is training available from the company - other directors can lead you where. Have a theme for each meeting, and guests bring something for the theme. Mardi Gras - one brings masks, one brings beads, one brings music, etc. Casino night - one brings chips, one brings bingo, one brings cards, one brings dice - do different activities with them. Do a booking blitz - 30 or 40 minutes with cell phones and lists of potential host or recruit leads. So much out there!

we also talk about the upcoming specials. Meaning, like the rubs that become a guest special, last year our directors made dips out of all of them so that we could try them.

I love the idea of a booking blitz right at the cluster meeting! I may suggest that. I appreciate your input!

1. How can I make my cluster meetings more engaging?

One way to make your cluster meetings more engaging is by incorporating interactive activities, such as games or hands-on demonstrations. You can also encourage participation by asking open-ended questions and allowing time for group discussion.

2. What types of themes can I use for my cluster meetings?

There are endless possibilities for themes at cluster meetings! Some popular ideas include seasonal themes, cooking or baking themes, and product-specific themes. You can also get creative and come up with your own unique themes that relate to your team's interests.

3. How can I encourage attendance at cluster meetings?

To encourage attendance at cluster meetings, make sure to communicate the date, time, and location well in advance. Additionally, you can offer incentives, such as product discounts or prizes, for attending the meeting. Sending reminders and following up with team members can also help increase attendance.

4. What are some fun and budget-friendly ideas for refreshments at cluster meetings?

You can keep refreshments budget-friendly by asking each team member to bring a dish to share. This can also add variety to the spread. Other ideas include setting up a potluck or having a themed snack, such as a build-your-own taco bar or a make-your-own smoothie station.

5. How can I make my cluster meetings more educational?

To make your cluster meetings more educational, consider inviting guest speakers, such as nutritionists or chefs, to share their expertise. You can also feature product demonstrations and training sessions to help team members learn more about the Pampered Chef products. Encouraging team members to share their own tips and tricks can also add educational value to the meetings.
