Ok, I'm a new consultant and first off, wanna say thanks for all the advice. Now, I love ebay! LOVE IT! Infact, I used to (before I was an official consultant) sell some used PC items that I would find at thrift stores. I would list these items for way cheap and I'd always put a very reasonable amount for shipping, because I figured people wouldn't pay too much considering they can go online to pc.com and get the products through there or just host a party. So I barely broke even, I just kind of did it after buying them, then realizing I didn't really need them and needed to make money back. So I never fully understood how some people run successful Pampered Chef stores on ebay. How can people actually buy these things? For instance, there is this guy selling a juicer for $13.00 plus shipping and handling of $6! And then there's people bidding on deep dish pie plates and the bidding's up to more that $22 and the shipping and handling is like $15 and more! The price of the plate is way more than it would be if buying from a consultant. I do still look for deals on ebay and I will actually contact a seller and tell them how ridiculous their price is and ask them to lower it and make it worth my while if I really want to save like $5. I just can't believe people will pay MORE to get it on ebay than if they were to buy from us! I think people just get caught up in the ebay thing, I know I did!
