Radish Storage Tips: How to Keep Radishes Fresh in the Fridge

In summary, radishes can last up to two weeks in the fridge if stored properly. It is not recommended to wash them before storing as excess moisture can cause them to spoil faster. The best way to store radishes is to trim the stems and leaves, wrap them in a damp paper towel, and place them in a plastic bag or container. Radishes can also be frozen to keep them fresh for longer. To check if radishes have gone bad, look for signs of softness, mushiness, or a pungent smell and discard if necessary.

I am having SERIOUS trouble storing and keeping radishes! Any tips on how to prep for and store them in the fridge?

I didn't get this tip in reference to radishes specifically, but it was for root vegetables, and I imagine it would work (it's worth a shot, anyway). Store them as-is in a bin of clean sand. If there are tops (greens), cut them off because the leaves will pull nutrients and moisture out of the root. That was a tip from Good Eats for storing beets.

Storing roots?Beets me.But I knew Chefann would turnip. Ann, you would post even more tips if you carrot all. You're so good at this subject, did you play tuber in the marching band?

would the Herb Keeper work? with the lid on, right?

It depends on how much Herb wants to get paid. If you pay him enough, he might work.
