I just called H.O. about the problem of our Spring Launch cities not being listed. Here is what he said to do:
E-mail [email protected] and tell them that you were trying to register for your city and was not able to.
When I began to explain some of the reasons for my delay, he suggested I put them in the e-mail as well.
The guy was clueless about whether it would do any good or not, and whether registration was closed for the listed events, or what. I am hopeful that they were merely trying to stem the tide and might give first priority to those who e-mail.
As of last week, here were the stats for my city as listed in the e-mail by Jean Jonas:
Columbus, OH
500 target (does this mean CAPACITY?)
272 registered
54% of target
Personally, I think that if they only have 500 seats for this market, they underestimated it BIG TIME. I have attended spring rallies in Columbus for Ohio area consultants and it seemed to me there were far more than 500 people in attendance. It's really unfair that some markets have capacity for 1000 and others have capacity for half that. And regardless, we got no notification that our city was in danger of being sold out!
I'll post a copy of my rant when I get it good and worked up ... but just a heads up to send those e-mails!
