Saving PDF to Word: Is it Possible?

In summary, you can save a pdf file as a word document by copying and pasting the text, highlighting the print, and then saving the document.

Hi--me too (working on the masters, can't wait 'til I am done in sept!)

I never knew, but there are free programs on the net to convert PDF to word. There are several of the programs listed or linked in the flyers threads, or you can go to CNET and do a search for PDF to Word converter.

Good luck-what is your field? I'm studying adult ed, but this class is on databases and it is kicking my behind!

Mine is a Masters in Education but curriculum and instruction. My undergrad is business so it is a lot of work to me because all of the information is new!

I am going to try and find one of those programs, thanks for the help.

Good luck to you also

hmmm....I highlight the print on the PDF file -- then right click, copy and paste into a Word doc. You can then save that doc in Word.Does that help?

I tried that but it lost all the formatting, boohoo!

There is also an imagining tool. Click on the "camera" on the tool bar and you use your mouse, hold down the right button, to drag a square around the text to copy. AS SOON AS YOU LET THE MOUSE GO IT INSTANTLY COPIES whatever is in the box. If you let go to soon, you won't get it all. Then you can go to your doc and paste it. The only problem is that it is a copy, not a workable piece of image. So it is as it is and there is no changing the formatting once it is in WORD. Also note that the image, once in Word, can be made larger by manipulating the size of the box but .pdf images tend to be blurry in WORD and only get worse if you make the text box larger.
