Recruiting a Previous Consultant

Click For Summary
SUMMARY

The discussion centers on the decision of a former consultant returning to the business after a five-year hiatus. Participants recommend that she should opt for the full kit instead of the mini-kit, as the full kit offers a significantly better value and includes updated products. Key updates mentioned include the addition of Executive Cookware, Forged Cutlery, a restyled Ultimate Mandoline, new cutting boards, prep bowls, and an easy-read measuring cup. The consensus is that the full kit provides a comprehensive selection of current offerings compared to what was available five years ago.

So I have a show tomorrow for a friend who's sister was a consultant about 5 years ago. She decided that it wasn't working for her at the time when she became pregnant...now that she's had 2 children she wants to get back into the business...YAY!!!!Okay, so my question is, would you suggest to her to just get the mini-kit to start back up, or go with the full kit & get all new products? Are the products that she would've received in her kit back then the same as what is offered now? I havn't been able to get in contact with the possible recruit yet, but she will be at the show tomorrow, so I'm looking for some of the lovely advice that I've received her before from my fellow cheffers:):):)

I would see what she has. A lot of products in the kit are new or restyled. She wouldn't probably have Executive Cookware, or the Forged Cutlery...and the Ultimate Mandoline has been completely restyled, and now there is the Microplane grater also....the cutting boards have been restyled, the prep bowls and an easy read measuring cup are now in the kit (and weren't before) and that's they stuff just off the top of my head.

I really only recommend the $65 kit if someone just can't swing the cost of the full kit. The full kit is a MUCH better deal.

What are the benefits of recruiting a previous Pampered Chef consultant?

Recruiting a previous consultant can be beneficial as they already have experience with the products, the sales process, and the company culture. This familiarity can lead to a quicker ramp-up period, as they may require less training and can hit the ground running. Additionally, they may already have a network of potential customers and hosts, which can help boost sales right away.

How can I approach a previous consultant about rejoining Pampered Chef?

When approaching a previous consultant, it's important to be respectful and understanding of their past experience. Start by reaching out casually, expressing your interest in their journey since they left. Share the positive changes or updates in the company and invite them to consider rejoining. Highlight the support and resources available to them now, and be open to answering any questions they may have.

What should I do if a previous consultant is hesitant to rejoin?

If a previous consultant is hesitant to rejoin, listen to their concerns and validate their feelings. Ask open-ended questions to understand their reasons for hesitance, whether it’s related to time commitment, past experiences, or personal circumstances. Provide information about the current opportunities, support systems, and flexibility that Pampered Chef offers, and reassure them that they can take their time to make a decision.

Are there any incentives for recruiting a previous consultant?

Yes, many direct sales companies, including Pampered Chef, offer incentives for recruiting new team members, including previous consultants. These incentives can include bonuses, discounts, or additional support resources. It's a good idea to check with your director or the company’s current policies to understand what specific incentives may be available for bringing back a former consultant.

What resources are available to help a previous consultant transition back into Pampered Chef?

Pampered Chef provides various resources to help former consultants transition back, including training materials, mentorship programs, and access to a supportive community.
