Protecting Our Contributors: Why You Shouldn't Include Personal Info on Posters

In summary, it is crucial to not include personal information on posters to safeguard the privacy and safety of contributors. Including personal information can put them at risk for identity theft, harassment, and other forms of cybercrime. Even if it seems relevant, it is best to avoid including personal information on posters and find alternative ways to share information. While there may be some exceptions, it is important to obtain consent and take precautions to protect personal information in these cases. To protect contributors, it is recommended to carefully review and edit any personal information, use initials or first names only, and educate them about the importance of protecting their personal information.

A wonderful director just emailed me. Her name and telephone number recently appeared on 2 flyers posted here as attachments. She has been receiving telephone calls for the last 2 weeks from members here asking questions about her theme shows. To make matters worse- the flyers weren't even done by her. No idea how her name and telephone number got on there. The post has been deleted and reposted without her personal info.

She was very gracious-BUT PLEASE DO NOT post any flyers or invitations, etc. with any personal information on them unless it's your own.
AND PLEASE do not call any posters on this website unless you are invited to.

We certainly don't want to take advantage of all our wonderful contributors.

Let's respect their privacy and give them the space to post their work without having to worry about their personal details being shared.
